Tonight's emotional hour of The Flash saw the entire team deal with the fallout from last week's episode as each member of Team Flash mourned the death of their fallen friend, Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer).

Next week's episode will feature the return of Gypsy (Jessica Camacho), who will team with Barry (Grant Gustin) and carry out a very dangerous plan to take out The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) once and for all. However, it looks like their plan may blow up in their faces when Gypsy finds herself in DeVoe's crosshairs, which is certainly not good news.

Watch the new promo for episode twenty, titled "Therefore She Is," below:

"Therefore She Is" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

GYPSY RETURNS - Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash team up with Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) to try to thwart Thinker's plan. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Gypsy have a heart to heart to talk about their relationship. Rob J. Greenlea directed the episode written by Sterling Gates & Thomas Pound (#420). Original airdate 5/1/2018.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

Ehh, after last week's very good episode, this was pretty meh. Very much a filler episode. It was nice to see Snart back, and this definitely felt like his final appearance for the time being. Probably the best scene was when Cisco was explaining the Laurel/Canary history, pretty funny. But Barry essentially crying and a) needing multiple pep talks, b) being incapable of operating as the Flash, and c) somehow being slow enough that SirenX can stop him, it was all pretty lame.

@HeavyMetal4Life - You do realize this Siren had a power that none of the previous ones did, right? Sonar/echolocation and the ability to use said waves to predict one's trajectory. Hell, she appeared to even have super-hearing. And we're talking about a guy who is repeatedly tripped by the guns of Captain Cold and Heat Wave in the comics (not talking about the show here) not to mention the toys thrown by Top...so it comes as no surprise that Flash's speed didn't help him against Siren. Flash and Aquaman are by far the weakest links in the original Justice League lineup.

Man, I really miss Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning. So far this week:

1. The Flash (meh)
2. Supergirl (meh)

Honestly, I could flip either one. Hopefully Legion tonight is better than last week's episode.

@Nebula - I don't mind the hit of nostalgia in it. It's a nice arriving superhero pose.

Looking forward to the new posters all the way till the finale.

@Nebula - That poster just seems off, Cisco just standing there, Gypsy blasting something, and Barry crouched down in an aquard pose

This was a strong character episode with few flaws around, the team was still reeling with Ralph's death but they still managed to move forward and actually scored a win this time to counter balance the defeat from last week.

I am glad they made Caitlin discover that Killer Frost wasn't exactly gone forever and just like when she told Barry that it wasn't possible that his cells, which had been transformed when he got hit by dark matter, couldn't have just stopped producing his speed and likewise hers are as well meaning she can awaken Killer Frost again.

Siren-X was badass but also a bit dislikeable, maybe because she was a Nazi. IDK tbh, but it was nice to see another evil version of Laurel, the mask fitted her too. Only with her I can find a small plot hole in how she wasn't being affected by Fallout's radiation. I will just chalk it up that now she was placed in either their pipeline or at ARGUS. But she being able to use her sonic powers to also hear the team from long distances and even use her scream to keep a breach open? Creative.

More on that: Siren-X's powers being used in a new wave, this version of Laurel can use her skills to hear from distances (like the scene where she heard the plan they were making to move Fallout from all the from STAR Labs) to know what people are saying and Barry's lightning makes a sound when he moves, she was also using her powers when she was trying to make Fallout explode so she heard him coming, hence why the slow motion before Barry arrived.

It was *so* satisfying to see DeVoe get something wrong for once. You could say it has happened before in 4x14 when The Fiddler harmed him but here he really was not cool with how this didn't went according to plan. He can't calculate how people will answer in a emotional way. And his further divorce from emotion and from his wife's gentle approach is a good parallel to Barry at the end when he accepts to go with Iris to talk about his grief of Ralph.

I am going to quote what someone said in Reddit: "I know you all hate the line, but this episode is a clear example of why “we are the flash” is so important to the show. There’s a complete dichotomy between the devoes and barry/iris. the flash support each other while devoe manipulates and ignores marlize for his own gain. The theme of the season is that love is more powerful than intelligence. the devoes started off being madly in love and working together and have now become out of sync which will lead to their downfall. i think harry losing his intelligence is also symbolic of this as cisco pointed out that the support and caring he offers is more important than how smart he is."

My heart keeps breaking for Marlize.

It really seems that this won't exactly be the last of Wentworth Miller.

It was nice to see Joe comfort Barry again like in S1.

Next week looks better, the Enlightenment is gonna be revealed finally.

2nd time in this Season that Caitlin uses the cold gun too, the same one Iris gave to Leo before the final battle which I am pretty sure is the one that Barry confiscated from Snart back in S1 ep 1x10 once he defeated him and Heat Wave, Cisco put them back in their place.

Kind of a subtle call back.

Good week so far for DC. Only thing Arrow must do now is deliver with the Oliver vs Diaz fight at least.

The hate this show gets is clearly full of hyperbole. Sad.

I still think DeVoe is more Ultra-Humanite than Thinker in this portrayal.

@FlixMentallo21 - Ultra-Humanite is an ape, and a Superman enemy...so unless they do a HUGE plot twist by season's end and this has all been orchestrated by Grodd, I don't see that happening.

@GAThrawnIGF - I mean in terms of MO—body-hopping evil genius has usually been more of Gerard Shugel’s schtick than Clifford DeVoe’s.
