THE FLASH: Enter The Mirrorverse In The New Promo For The Season 6 Finale: "Success Is Assured"

Due to the global production shut down due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, next week's episode will serve as the season six finale of The Flash and it looks to be one doozy of an hour.

Due to the currently ongoing coronavirus pandemic, The Flash was one of many television shows forced to halt production indefinitely and since it doesn't look like filming will be able to resume anytime soon, it looks like next week's installment of The CW's highest-rated series will indeed serve as the sixth season finale.

While the hour won't exactly be the finale they were planning, the stakes will still be incredibly high as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) does everything he can to rescue his missing wife Iris (Candice Patton) from the Mirrorverse before it's too late. Plus, Sue Dearbon (Natalie Dreyfuss) returns and it's up to Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer) to stop her before she makes a grave mistake that could have serious ramifications.

"Success Is Assured" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

"THE FLASH" SEASON FINALE - Barry (Grant Gustin) considers a risky plan to save Iris (Candice Patton) from the Mirrorverse. Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) attempts to stop Sue (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) from making a grave mistake that could destroy her life. Phil Chipera directed the episode written by Kelly Wheeler & Lauren Barnett (#619). Original airdate 5/12/2020.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Efrat Dor as Eva McCulloch
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia
Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk
Sendhil Ramamurthy as Dr. Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork

The Flash returns with an all-new episode on May 12

In other Flash news, Grant might be the Flash until at least season 9.

@BlackIceJoe - Hopefully the current showrunner sticks around, this season has been a big improvement, after season 4, which had a good plot, but misplaced comedy hurt it and they over powered the thinker, and season 5 which had a more consistant tone and a great start, but the villain just wasnt good enough to last a full season. Now id say its on par with the first 3 seasons

@soberchimera - There is a lot of potential for different ways to go for Flash and it will be interesting to see where the show goes.

@dracula - I agree. I personally feel it easily got better after Crisis and hopefully Flash story wise will only get better.

Hopefully while everyone is staying home the script writers are thinking up ideas and can incorporate them into the next season.

I will say this though, I'm curious if we could see in the next season of Flash or any of the other DC character shows having to deal with a pandemic and how they'd deal with.

It would be something that would be different in a superhero show, because there would be no villain that brought the pandemic, but Earth instead.

Would you see different supervillains using it at their advantage to inflict pain or would they be less likely to commit crimes?

@BlackIceJoe - yeah, the bloodwork arc was good, but the mirror master arc brought the season up to the next level.

Yeah hopefully they are at least plotting the next season out. Really hoping for The full rogues or Gorilla grodd.

Think it would feel a bit too soon for some people for one of the shows to deal with a cronavorus like event. Certaint plot points of current seasons do seem a bit more relative for flash and supergirl

@dracula - this has been the best season since season 2. Season 3 sucked, just like seasons 4 and 5.

What a great sequence. And that was still yet another clone, not the real deal. I can't wait to see what is up with Godspeed and the future he comes from.
