Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost

Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick

Decent, solid episode. Best episode from this show since probably the Flashtime episode of season 4. The core part of this episode was quite good, this was a very good episode for Barry.

The beginning of the episode, with the overview of Barry's thoughts on the Crisis, as well as the Bloodwork scene, those were good and cool. But then we arrived at the art gallery with Cisco and his love life (something no one cares about) plus Killer Frost and Ralph, and that wasn't good at all. And this here was the dichotomy of the episode: the stuff with barry was good, the stuff without him was a bit mediocre.

Barry trying to travel to the future, getting hit with the anti-matter and then going to Jay Garick, those were all good. And Garrick's map of anti-matter detections was interesting, some "unknown earths" on there. But WOW!!!! Barry projecting his mind towards the Crisis, that was extremely well done, great scene and very impactful. Interesting that Cisco is back as Vibe. And damn, they really went there with Barry dissolving in that iconic Crisis imagery!!! Please, someone upload gifs of this, as well as the video of this particular sequence. This whole sequence of the Crisis was the best part of the episode.

The rest of the stuff about the villain of the week was largely boring and distracting, though Ralph having his baby suit and Joe showing up were good. Overall, the villain of the week subplot was a bit lame and overdramatic, too cliche and predictable. Though Barry running through the UV lights was good.

Anyways, even with the lesser parts of the episode, the core Barry/Crisis aspects were quite strong and made up for everything else. Solid episode!

@HeavyMetal4Life - Though Barry running through the UV lights was good.

It's like every movie where someone is being chased by a car, and they just run in a straight line eventually getting plowed, and all you can do is pull your hair out and scream at the screen to just go left or right. Dramatic, sure, no doubt but ...

@Reeds2Much - I agree with you, it was stupid, but the message/visual of Barry not letting anything stop him and that he always runs forward even if its threatening his life (the comparison to what he saw in his Crisis vision), I really liked that. Yeah, go around the UV beam, but the meaning of that was good.
