Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) have officially joined Greg Berlanti's DC TV universe.

The pair will appear in Tuesday night's episode, which Smith also directed, as a pair of security guards that don't seem particularly good at their jobs as they let a new meta named Null (Bethany Brown) get away a very valuable item.

Meanwhile, back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Ralph (Harley Sawyer) will have some issues as they try to determine their next step in finding the last few bus metas before DeVoe can get his hands on them. Plus, Breacher (Danny Trejo) also returns, seeking a big favor from Cisco (Carlos Valdes).

Plus, in case you missed it, watch the promo for episode seventeen, titled "Null and Annoyed," below:

Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#417). Original airdate 4/10/2018.

Last season, Barry Allen aka The Flash used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, and inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. The phenomenon not only gave birth to the villainous God of Speed known as Savitar, but changed the lives of Caitlin Snow and Wally West forever. With the help of his adoptive father, Detective Joe West, his fiancée Iris West, and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs – Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells -- Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it. But first, he’ll have to escape the Speed Force – an extra-dimensional entity teeming with unknown dangers – that Barry sacrificed himself to in order to save Central City.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Tom Felton as Julian Dorn
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker

Hope its a good episode. I can't recall which episode he directed in season 3, but the one he did for season 2 was not good. It made no sense in the context of the rest of the season and essentially boiled down to Smith saying: "Hey, I want to portray Barry in this way, and if it contradicts stuff we've known prior to the episode, screw it, who cares!"

Very hard to believe this show is a comic book show. Black Lightning is so ahead of this crap.

@KermitTheFraud - Flash is a shell of its former self. Black Lightning is far superior.

@KermitTheFraud - Well I guess there is hope for it to continue following the Arrow guideline?

Seasons 1-2 Good, Season 3-4 crap, so season five should maybe be good?

Harry looks very attached to his Thinking Cap despite saying he no longer needed it.

Null looks pretty.

Breacher looks like he is practicing swordmanship and what is that on his head?

No sign of the disagreement in the pics between Barry and Ralph but Barry looks pretty bitchin’ with the suit there.

Cool BTS family photo.

Also Kevin Smith also directed the 7th episode of S3 “Killer Frost” and what was holding Barry back in S2 was not talking about the fact that he let go the chance of saving his mother when he traveled back in time when he could have. He never properly coped nor paid enough visits to her grave. It was his dad’s death that pushed him to the edge just as he had healed from one.

It would be great if the final two bus metas are Jay and Silent Bob.
But they are not.
So the final two are Null, and then Edwin Gauss (Folded Man). Folded Man will let them access the pocket dimension thinker always escapes to, and also Thinker would like to easily do that. But what useful power will Null contribute to the Thinker amalgamation? I'm not sure how her powers are useful to him. I guess that is why Harry has the thinking cap on.

I stopped watching The Flash after season 2 because life got in the way. Have there been any episodes that rival that unbelievable episode in season 1 where Professor Wells says, "I am Eobard Thawne," bows his head ever-so-slightly and then does the hand-vibration kill-move?

HeavyMetal4Life - 4/5/2018, 10:31 AM
@GeneralZod - there have been 2 "great" episodes this season: the Thinker origin episode (number 8 I believe), and Flashtime. There have been some "good" episodes. And then the rest (a majority) have been mediocre to bad.

Love Kevin Smith, love Jason Mewes, love Jay & Silent Bob. Good to see them back together on screen. [frick] the haters.

He will play Bob the security guard and give the reply to his always friend, Jason Mewes, to embody Jay the security guard. So this is a kind of crossover with the View Askewniverse (Jay and Bob counter-attacking, clerks, model employees)! By the way, we wish the best to Smith https://www.xtremetechnews.tech/2018/04/flash-season-4-episode-17.html
