TITANS: Get Your Best Look Yet At The Villainous Red Hood Ahead Of His Season 3 Debut

SFX Magazine has unveiled its latest cover, and it gives us our best look yet at Curran Walters' Jason Todd(?) under the Red Hood ahead of the fan-favourite villain's debut in season 3 of HBO Max's Titans.

The third season of Titans is set to hit HBO Max on August 12 (the first 3 episodes have been getting surprisingly positive reviews), and SFX has now unveiled their latest cover featuring Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Jason Todd/Robin, and the latter's villainous alter-ego.

We've had a few glimpses of the Red Hood in the trailers, but this is our best look at the character's (mostly) comic-accurate costume yet.

The most recent promo attempted some misdirection when it comes to the identity of the man under the hood, but the trades have already confirmed that Jason will ultimately be revealed as the villain. Still, the "A Death in the Family" inspired storyline is bound to have a few unforeseen twists and turns, so we're looking forward to seeing how things play out.

Check out the cover below along with the latest teaser, and let us know if you plan on watching Titans season 3 in the comments.

New faces Vincent Kartheiser (Scarecrow) and Savannah Welch (Barbara Gordon) join returning cast members Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Kory Anders, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth, Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan, Curran Walters as Jason Todd, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy, Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall, Joshua Orpin as Superboy, Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson, Chella Man as Jericho, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad, Esai Morales as Deathstroke, Jay Lycurgo as Tim Drake and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne.

The first three episode of Titans season 3 will air on the HBO Max streaming service on August 12. Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti will once again serve as executive producers along with Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter.

Everything about this show always looks like it's a small design choice away from being cool

@BlackBeltJones - I honestly don't think it looks bad for TV. Cosplay is generally a lot better than some of these CW suits...

Soooo close to looking good, yet still a miss.

Seen some early reviews and reactions to S3 so far and everyone seems to say it’s an improvement, but I’m pretty sure that was said for S2 as well and...yeah.

That placement on the cover made it look like Red Hood's head obscures the lower dash from the E. Took me a second look to realize it said SFX.

Anyway, still doesn't look good. Then again, I think it's probably pretty difficult to pull it off in live-action.

I still truly think there should be an entire season of Jason being dead (or missing) before bringing in Red Hood to get that emotional impact. And at least that way, he could have had all of season 4 focused on him with season 3 focused on Starfire/Blackfire

that red hood looks like someone who dresses up as a red hood who can't get an entrance pass to San Diego Comicon

I haven’t watched an episode of Titans but S3 is supposed to be pretty cool if I’m to believe my Twitter.

Might check out an episode.

The mask isn't really giving menacing. Still looking forward to the new season...it's a guilty pleasure at this point.

I have never seen something with so much potential and fail miserably. I like most of the characters but story and tone of the show suck. It’s honestly a jumbled mess.

While the show is by no means perfect I enjoy it.
I love Hawks costume and actor although he is written a bit of a bitch. Death stroke was great and I’m glad he is returning.
It seems like Raven is taking a backseat which is ok.
I also like that Garth is green skinned now when using his abilities.
Starfire doesn’t do it for me.
Ultimately I like most of the costumes and the fight choreography is very strong for a tv show. I’m down with S3

I actually dig this show. But man, that helmet looks bad. Hopefully his performance outweighs the bad design. I really don’t know how you mess up that outfit.

People are saying it looks like cosplay but I don't understand this because......Red Hood just wears normal clothes anyway. That's his costume. So it should look kinda average. The mask is the only thing that rly sets him apart.

@HeeroG - Why is that first dude's forehead as big as the rest of his face? Is he an alien? That second dude looks like he's from Destiny or some shit. The last 2 are pretty legit though.

It’s just slightly too wide. You get a good look at what I’m saying in the trailer.

While it's cool that we get an iteration of Red Hood in live-action it's too early on the show to actually feel earned.
Jason needs to die, then have a few years between it and THEN return as Red Hood. Otherwise the change holds no weight.

@Blergh - i agree. i think a time jump would have been well suited. at least a couple years later. That way they could have re-casted an older actor to play Jason Todd

They really should have gone with the new comics mask, it’s much easier to get right while still keeping his identity properly covered.

I really like the new look, minus the crowbar, it looks much more like he’s at it alone with few resources and ready to beat the shit out of anyone in a fight. The usual look, that’s used in the show, is too tacticool & too focused on gun fighting, also makes him look like Bruce is bankrolling him.

Not bad at all. The wardrobe on this show has been one of its strong points.

I enjoyed season 1 and 2.. what hooked me with season 1 was the brutality of the beatdowns that Robin/Dick dished out. Was a bit let down when season 2 dialed it down a notch. My favorite thing about Batman was the fact that he had no powers and just savagely beat you down... holding nothing back.

Its way too soon to do Red Hood imo. Dont know how long this show will go so maybe thats why they will rush through everything they can but if this got 6-7 seasons you'd do this in like season 5.

I enjoy the show for what it is. I thought Deathstroke was cool last season.
