TITANS: HBO Max Shares A First Look At Damaris Lewis Suited Up As Blackfire In The DC TV Series

HBO Max has shared our first look at Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) in season three of Titans, and it definitely appears the former "DC Universe" series is going to embrace costumes in a big way moving forward.

HBO Max has today revealed the costume for the latest superpowered addition to Titans, Blackfire (played by Damaris Lewis). Created by costume designer Laura Jean ("LJ") Shannon, this follows past supersuit reveals for both Starfire and Red Hood.

Blackfire was introduced at the end of Titans season two, and Lewis plays the first live-action take on the character. This current season is now in production, and set to premiere later this year.

Along with Blackfire, returning characters include: Dick Grayson/Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites), Kory Anders/Starfire (Anna Diop), Rachel Roth/Raven (Teagan Croft), Gar Logan/Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), Donna Troy/Wondergirl (Conor Leslie), Jason Todd/Red Hood (Curran Walters), and Superboy (Joshua Orpin) with Hank Hall/Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dawn Granger/Dove (Minka Kelly).

As we learned during DC FanDome, this next batch of episodes will see the team drawn back to Gotham Ciy "where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats." Dr. Jonathan Crane (better known as Scarecrow) and Barbara Gordon are expected to factor into proceedings, but the team's biggest threat might be Red Hood as he's determined to take down the heroes.

Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Based on the characters from DC, the series was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns & Greg Berlanti, with Johns, Berlanti, Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers. The first two seasons of Titans are now available to stream on HBO Max.
