AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS May Have Found Its Hulkling - Here's Who Could Be Playing The Young Avenger!

Speculation continues to run rampant about some big introductions in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and a new report might just reveal who is playing the Young Avenger Hulkling in the upcoming Disney+ series...

We recently learned that cameras begin rolling on Agatha: Coven of Chaos in the next few weeks, with several Westview actors from WandaVision now confirmed to appear in the Disney+ series.

There was one new name in that announcement that passed us by, but Murphy's Multiverse has now highlighted Miles Gutierrez-Riley and shed some light on who he could be playing. Following rumours about the show introducing Wiccan and Hulkling, the site believes this actor will be playing the Kree/Skrull hybrid here.

Last October, a casting call went out for Agatha: Coven of Chaos indicating Marvel Studios was looking to include Billy Kaplan and Teddy Altman in this story, with us later learning Joe Locke is likely playing Wiccan.

At the time, Marvel Studios was said to be looking for a gay actor between the age of 18 and 20 who is in a relationship with Locke's character. While Gutierrez-Riley is a little older than that, he fits the description and is clearly someone who is worthy of more than just a couple of lines in this series.

The actor was a Denzel Washington Scholarship Recipient at Fordham, later landing roles in The Wilds and On the Come Up, so we anticipate him playing an important role in Agatha: Coven of Chaos

In the comic books, Teddy is a Kree/Skrull hybrid who is the grandson of Skrull Emperor Dorrek VII and the son of the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell. We're not sure how all this would be addressed in this series, but it makes sense for these two to finally show up (and Gutierrez-Riley may well make an appearance in Secret Invasion or The Marvels).

As for Wiccan, the soul of Billy Kaplan resides in his body, essentially making him the Scarlet Witch's son despite having parents of his own. While many fans have questioned what the point of this spin-off is, the inclusion of two Young Avengers, one of whom has close ties to Wanda Maximoff, suggests it will be a very important chapter in the wider MCU.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is still expected to hit Disney+ either later this year or early 2024.

Still think Feige is going to make Hulks son the YA's Hulkling. He's been known to Mish mash a couple of characters into one.

First time I'm reading about how they plan to introduce Wiccan. Think that could actually work pretty well. Just wonder how they'll introduce Billy then

Teddy is pretty butch to balance with Billy's more effeminate twinkness, so you have a healthier balance of representation of gay guys. After watching some video's of Miles, he really does not exude the personality of Teddy but would be perfect to play Billy. So it's a really odd and disappointing choice if true. I know a lot of fellow gay comic fans who aren't wanting this casting to be real and are hoping he is just a friend at the school or something.

Funnily enough, Joe Locke's onscreen boyfriend in Heartstopper, Kit Connor, would have been perfect choice to play Teddy.

I shall imagine Miles Gutierrez-Riley is a 9 foot tall purple skinned genderless humanoid with blue hair and neon eyes.

I mean, it must be up to my imagination since there's no picture of Miles Gutierrez-Riley for any of us to reference.

All I need to know is if the shows are going to get any better.

Marvel and Disney literally could not wait to introduce this character. It’s going to be a huge day for MCU studios.

Miles Gutierrez-Riley for Hulkling?!?!

I think MCU and Disney might be missing the point a little bit... like I get that he can shape shift and all, and his "normal" size is a bit smaller... but that dude is a twig!

Ughhh why tf is he getting introduced in a AGATHA show. I swear they randomly "introduce" future characters in every show, but it's so [frick]ing random. Who cares, WHO-DEY

“Someone who looks nothing like the character” is par for the course for Marvel at this point.

I'm really not a fan of this "young Avengers", idea that keeps getting thrown around. It'd be one thing if we knew these characters for more than 1 movie, but it just seems like the MCU is trying to replace all of its main cast very quickly.
