"Marvel's Agent Carter," starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life--Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," along with the short "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter." Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, "Marvel's Agent Carter" is executive produced by Christopher Markus, Steve McFeely, Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Jeph Loeb.

Still not completely sure about this. But maybe it'll work if they have some old characters from the comics play a role in it. Perhaps the old Nick Fury could show up? They could explain easily enough that Nick Fury in the movies was old Nick's son.

... Not looking forward to this. However, I have a feeling it'll be off to a better start than AoS. They're really pushing for it.

YYEEEESSSSS!!!!! Can't wait! Hopefully Howard is in it, and the Howling Commandos!

Maybe we will see some Invader cameos (Human Torch, Namor, Union Jack, etc.) in this? I think Howling Commandos are a given.

I think the Howling Commandos are going to be a big part of this show. Which is why they featured the old-timey spy stuff in last weeks episode of AoS.

@Kurne: It's a 12 episode run, right? So there'll be less filler. Also a lot of the characters are already established.

Not seeing much of a reason for this show. We know that she survives and thus the whole 'spy suspense' thing is gone.

Throw in the Howling Commandoes for a few action packed episodes and maybe I'll watch it... but I'm getting the feeling this show is just their to set up the events in Avengers; Age Of Ultron (Which features a 1940's flashback scene with Peggy Carter)

Will probably give it a watch, but I have low expectations. The best we can hope for is a 'Winter Soldier' episode where he murders Howard Stark - leading to Peggy trying to track him down.

Why the [frick] is this getting made? Im sorry but aren't there any other MARVEL characters that should get a show before Agent Carter? Heck i'd put Moon Knight ahead of her.

do they have a release date for the pilot?

GinjaNinja - 5/10/2014, 7:46 AM
@DoubleD He can't, he was born in the 60s in the MCU. There was a badge or something somewere. No way he's 95. Now Jack fury they could do.

@Omega @marvel72- anyone who thinks this show is a waste of time obv don't care about the early days of the MCU being fleshed out. This could basically be showing the ORIGIN of SHIELD, how they started and possibly how hydra slowly began to infiltrate. Winter Soldier cameo isn't out of the possibility. Not to mention it had always felt like there was something missing in the time period between Captain America The First Avenger and Present day MCU

@PAF

Damn, them boys gettin it. Where they do that at.

But yea, I don't know what the [frick] they're doing with these shows. Is it too expensive to get a real MARVEL hero show going? They did it in the 70s and 80s with balls. Hurry up with DareDevil then. Shit.

But I'll watch this if it doesnt take itself too seriously. Im talkin Indiana Jones type shit with robots that look like this...

@doubleD Yeah no duh. But fact is IN THE MOVIES he was born in the 60s... He won't be on the show. AT ALL! MAYBE eventually they will give him a BABY cameo. HIS DAD MIGHT BE!
