Sigourney Weaver Has Been Spotted On THE DEFENDERS Set - But Don't Expect Any Clues About Her Character

New pics from the set of Marvel's The Defenders finally give us a glimpse of Sigourney Weaver's villain, and it looks like the team will be going up against... a well-dressed lady sitting down to dinner.

Ever since it was announced that Sigourney Weaver had joined the cast of Marvel and Netflix's The Defenders as the villain, fans have speculated about which character she might be playing. We had hoped that our first look at the Oscar-winning actress on set might shed some light on the mystery, but not if these pics posted by Getty Images are anything to go by.

You'll have to head over there to see them, but the Aliens star is shown sitting down to dinner with another unknown character, and she looks, for all intents and purposes, every bit the "really nice woman" that Weaver joked about the four heroes assembling to go up against in a recent interview.

Right now the prevailing theory seems to be that Weaver is actually playing a human incarnation of The Beast - a demonic entity worshipped by The Hand that was introduced in Frank Miller's Elektra Assassin - but there are several others too.

What do you guys think? Do these pics offer any hints at all? Sound off below.
