THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER: Latest Filming Update Could Point To A Delay Until 2021

We have yet another filming update for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and it sounds like a late return to the Czech Republic could mean that the show does wind up being pushed to next year...

Recently, we learned that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to return to Atlanta sometime in the next week or so to resume shooting after production was halted due to COVID-19 back in March.

The original plan was for the Marvel Studios series to arrive on Disney+ last month, but that was no longer possible even though there was only around two weeks of work left to do on the show. Some filming needs to take place in Prague in the Czech Republic, and the fact that Carnival Row was recently able to finish shooting there definitely bodes well for this series.

Unfortunately, Murphy's Multiverse is now reporting that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier won't return to that European city until October, with shooting extending into November.

Now, if those scenes are in later episodes, it's definitely possible that we could still see the Marvel Studios series on Disney+ this year, but it's growing increasingly more likely that it will be pushed into 2021. That will be a significant blow to the streaming service, especially with a noteworthy lack of original content coming to it between now and the end of the year.

With any luck, we could at least end up seeing WandaVision before the New Year...

I kinda hope Marvel does an event like Fandome too soon (Disney+ can be used for distribution). I really wanna know some concrete dates and see new footage

I've already made up my mind that no new shows or movies are going to release this year. I'm just gonna re-watch House until this is all over.

I am excited for every one of the returning characters in this series. Just give it to me! I think most of all for some more Sharon Carter. She needs her due.

You remember how there was a decent-sized group of people saying they were done with the MCU after Endgame because it was so huge that "nothing will top it" or "no Iron Man, no me" or "there's just too many releases" or a bunch of other reasons I'm sure they believed?
Let's see what happens with them after being starved of content for newrly two years by the time we see the next release.

I get that they can't film in certain countries, but isn't that why we have green screens!?!? It's not like they haven't used them b4 to create the environment! I mean, just go to one of the many Disney or newly acquired Fox studios and film the last few episodes and get this sh** on Disney + already!!

Someone said on a Mandalorian post that Disney+ wouldn’t launch any big tent pole series while another was airing, and as Mando S2 is launching Oct 30th, and will run for 8 episodes, that means any Marvel D+ shows won’t launch until 2021 at the earliest. It [frick]ing sucks but it makes sense. Need those lucrative tent pole series to keep people subscribed.
