Variety is reporting that Leah Gibson has joined the cast of Marvel's Jessica Jones season two in a series regular role as Ingrid, a character that's being described as an edgy, street-wise nurse.
As far as we know, there's no pertinent comic connection with Jessica and Ingrid, but back in April, when season two casting breakdowns surfaced online, there was a lot of speculation that suggested "Ingrid" could be code for either a genderswapped Ian Soo, a bisexual character that originated in Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!, or the popular Daredevil villain Typhoid Mary. Variety's report does mention Mary and her three distinct and violent personalities but was unable to obtain any sort of confirmation from Netflix.
Production on the eagerly awaited second season is currently underway with a 2018 debut in mind.
Gibson's past film credits include minor roles in Zack Snyder's Watchmen, David Slade's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Rupert Wyatt's Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She's also appeared in episodes of Psych, Supernatural, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and The 100.
