After just 5 months, Marvel's Jessica Jones has wrapped filming on its second season.  The news was revealed on Krysten Ritter's Instagram Stories live video feature.Little is known about where Jones' story is headed after The Defenders.  With her character having very little interaction with The Hand prior to the crossover miniseries perhaps she'll renew focus on solving the mystery of the IGH- the mysterios group that may be behind the source of her abilities.

While plot details are scarce, showrunner
Melissa Rosenberg confirmed last year that all 13 episodes of season 2 will be directed by women.  Set photos have also revealed that David Tennant’s Purple Man will be returning in some capacity.

Just give her actual powers and I'll be happy.

@Supercat6376 - Really… How can you have super strength without some form of invulnerability? I mean a mere razor can cut her and kill her, but she can punch through cement walls without breaking a knuckle. Plus they never show or fly because it's too expensive. I'm tired for settling for mediocrity. It's sad when WC outdoes you

@SpideyQuad - I agree that's a good point-- she's can punch through walls bit isn't invulnerable lol however if they show her chucking more cars and kicking more people around I'll be ok with it. They're never going to show her fly which does blow. .. they should give that to us at least once. Also daredevil had to save her ass .. she curled up into a ball and looked like she accepted she was gonnna bite it..... didn't like that.

@SpideyQuad - The human body is messed up.

Your muscles can flex so hard they rip your bones apart. People can lift a weight at first, then crumple like tissue paper a second later. There's nothing inherently unrealistic about being super strong, yet still very vulnerable. That's what makes one of the reasons injuries can be so dramatic in athletics. All it takes is a minor miscalculation sometimes (or just nothing apparent at all) and your knee is backward.

@SpideyQuad - Her body has tensile strength. So she can take damage from someone of similar strength like Cage but still be cut by sharp objects. That's actually a very logical concept that happens in the real world. Like with bullet proof vests. They can take standard munitions but aren't great against armor piercing rounds, which just have a sharp point to them.

@Origame - Yeah, I'll buy your logic but that's not how the character is in the comics. I'm pretty sure she has partial or limited vulnerability and can probably take a Smaller caliber bullet.

@SpideyQuad - That scene of her bluffing about being bulletproof was actually taken straight from the comics. The difference though is how it ended. In the show, she gets shot. In the comic the tactic worked but she later admits to lying and not really knowing if she's bulletproof. Considering they never really put her in that position though I'd say it's a safe bet that comic Jessica isn't bulletproof.

So JJ, LC, and DD for Marvel Netflix next year...nice! JJ season 2 will probably be out by March or April.

Hopefully will get a synopsis next month for NYCC.

First season doesn't get enough love. It was a dark and harrowing exploration into rape, addiction and control.

It showed the after-effects of trauma, exploitation and abuse, with smart and subtle things to say about the way guilt affects the lives of the victims, and how exploitation corrupts the exploiter.

One of the best shows of 2015 and easily one of the best shows on TV.

@BlackBeltJones - I completly agree. That show is close to the top for me on the marvel Netflix shows

@noahthegrand - it's one of the best shows on TV.

Few shows are as daring thematically in terms of exploring such sensitive themes.
