@GhostDog - That's the thing about the MCU. Even if something falls short, there'll always be something on the horizon to pick it up. Even as far back as Dark world came out, WS and GotG came out immediately afterwards and any talks of fatigue went away.

@MCUKnight11 - it honestly just comes back to what it has ALWAYS come back to....a vision. True creative vision and a story to tell. I'm not gonna get ahead of myself here despite how awesome that trailer is as we haven't seen the final product yet but Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead as writers with a lead writer in Eric Martin who wrote banger episodes last season and now as showrunner is out to prove himself....you get real creatives involved who give a sincere shit and give them the adequate time and resources to cook....and the people will follow. The views will come. It's always been this simple and Feige should know that by now. Hopefully this is the beginning of getting the train back on track. Sucks he clearly lost it for quite some time with the last few years of outings. But we all love a good comeback story...

@MCUKnight11 - yea honestly as muddled as the MCU has been lately the amount of goodwill they bought themselves with the infinity saga and how that culminated will last them a good while. All they need is the right project to remind people they can be good

@ReverseFlasher - I apologize I meant in my initial post to say they are back in the directors' chair. Forgive me I'm on my 17th White Claw. I doubt they are writing but they are 110% confirmed to be back in the directors' chair...

@McMurdo - Spot on, and you need a story to tell.

A lot of MCU projects started because they had a discussion with someone at Marvel with a character/s and a story already in mind and ideas for how they wanted to tell it.
It doesn't always come out perfect but still shows someones vision and brings something different that can still be appreciated (Eternals)

The way they announced several D+ projects came across as the opposite, no word of anyone bringing these ideas to them just "we're making a show about X because we can"

People got to understand that the MCU is not going anywhere and that if they don't like something, they should hope that it's changed instead of being terminated.

Loki is definitely the best Disney+ series. And both Marvel Special Presentations have been stellar. Shang Chi, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Spider-Man No Way Home, Black Panther Wakanda Forever, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have all been great as well. Have we had many duds along the way? Absolutely.
McMurdo
McMurdo - 8/2/2023, 12:03 AM
@SonOfAGif - loki and Wanda I'd argue are fantastic. I liked Wakana Forever but I wouldn't label it great. I thought No Way Home was basically pornagraphy with a AWFUL Dr Strange....a true imbecile facsimile Dr Strange and an apt complex EZ Bake oven villain be gone abortion of a plot that was saved by 2 past spidermans who honestly have both played the role far better than Holland has (script issue type shit here).

Guardians 3 just shits on all the above tho and I fear they won't top Guardians 3 anytime soon. Letting Gunn out of their sight will haunt them for some time...
SpiderParker
SpiderParker - 8/2/2023, 12:06 AM
@SonOfAGif - Frankly, I liked Eternals more than Wakanda, could have something to do with watching it in theater vs BP2 on Disney+ but I get the hate for being slow paced yet definitely underrated. Or maybe the lack of good movies during covid has my taste skewed and I might feel different about it now.
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 8/2/2023, 12:20 AM
@SpiderParker - I feel like The Eternals didn't sell them as new heroes. Where as fans want more Shang Chi. I don't think anyone is asking for any of the Eternals to appear again. They were forgettable.

Because people love Loki. Feige knows we need a core group now. That's why he is dropping echo at once. Get over it fast. Drop iron heart quick and get it over with fast.

Let's get to the great stuff.💯🤝💁

Well I know that it's just a trailer for a very well received and highly-anticipated show, and with a new show runner "the proof will be in the pudding", but so far it seems like we might be moving beyond the "Chapek Era" of quantity over quality and back to our good 'ole MCU. In which case I say hitch me up with some White Claws, pizza stuffed pizza, and Infinity Saga MCU and let's go!

I don't hear enough people talking about how Loki is glitching the same way Miles did in ATSV. I like that bit of consistency if intentional.

Funny how the mcu loyalists quickly brushed aside how horrible secret invasion was with this trailer.

A good trailer doesnt always mean a good show. I remember when SI dropped and all were, oohhh, ahh, this has winter soldier/civil war vibes all over.

I shouldve posted that goldblum meme but i cant post gifs 😂
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 8/2/2023, 2:22 AM
@vectorsigma - you're right. All of us should dwell on secret invasion, even on a unrelated article
vectorsigma
vectorsigma - 8/2/2023, 5:15 AM
@MyCoolYoung - im not suggesting people to dwell on it.

Just be cautiously optimistic.

Marvel was obviously playing the loyalists after a disastrous show by releasing this all of a sudden. And the funny thing is a lot still fell for it

I swear people on here want everyone to be just as miserable and cynical as they are
vectorsigma
vectorsigma - 8/2/2023, 7:23 AM
@OmegaDaGrodd - lol.

After reading comments like "talk of fatigue went away" or "marvel is still good in their bad days" says much about the situation.

And when did being "cautiously optimistic" mean miserable? 😂
OmegaDaGrodd
OmegaDaGrodd - 8/2/2023, 7:32 AM
@vectorsigma - when someone has an elementary level understanding of how tv and film projects are made, they typically do not find the poor performance/reception of one project to inform how good the next project will be. Nothing that we saw in Secret Invasion has any correlation to what we should expect from Loki, because the two projects have next to zero overlap in their productions beyond the executive producers.

The "cautious optimism" is not warranted in this scenario if you understand how any of this works, and the idea of someone's mind immediately jumping to commenting on how cautiously optimistic a group of fans "should" be after watching a great trailer is absolutely miserable (and pointlessly cynical) behavior
