Marvel Studios dropped a new TV spot for Moon Knight during tonight's Super Bowl (check it out by clicking here), and that's now been followed by some very cool stills from the Oscar Isaac-led limited series. Steven Grant remembering his life as Marc Spector takes centre stage in most of them, though we also get to see Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow wielding some sort of ancient weapon.
A mad scientist on the page, we're not sure how much this version has in common with his comic book counterpart, but he certainly has all the makings of a terrifying and formidable big bad.
We're sure the biggest highlight here for many of you will be that shot of Moon Knight standing tall after besting a number of foes. The character's costume has been spotlighted in recent weeks, and it looks just as good in action as it does in images like these. The suit being rooted more in magic/the supernatural is no bad thing, especially as it differentiates Moony from a certain Dark Knight.
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes (there's no mention of George Clooney). Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers.
Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
