Marvel Studios has released a brief Ms. Marvel sneak peek ahead of its premiere on June 8, and as you can see, it features lots of thrilling new footage from the Disney+ series.

As well as some awesome shots of Kamala Khan making use of her newfound powers (including a fun nod to her Embiggening abilities from the comic books), we see the villainous Agent Deever and learn a little more about the teenager's journey going from normal kid to cosmic superhero.

All signs point to Iman Vellani being a perfect choice to bring this character to life on screen, and we'll be sharing our review of the first two episodes this Tuesday at 9am ET.

Take a look at this new Ms. Marvel promo below:

"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"

Joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the show are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8.

They need to team her up with the girl that plays America Chavez. Between the two of them the energy and charisma would be through the roof.

@SonOfAGif - You mean, almost like bringing together a group of remarkable young people, to see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to fight the battles that other kids their age never could (i.e., buying alcohol, renting a car, getting into strip clubs, etc.)?

Well, the fans of this show have successfully bullied anyone with a different opinion away from commenting. Yesterday I simply said "This show isn't for me but I hope others enjoy it" and got harassed and told I was whining lmao

Hope all four of you enjoy this thread and it's plethora of diverse opinions. 👍

I'm not really hype nor heavily critical of this, but she seems right for the role.

Kamala moving her hair as if it was a shampoo comercial and following with a "sup?" was funny. Iman Vellani really seems to be perfect in the role, looking forward to her scenes.
