Entertainment Tonight is reporting that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has added The Flight Attendant star Griffin Matthews in a mystery role. Despite not providing any details on who the actor will play, it's noted that he's going to be a recurring character in the nine-episode Disney+ series.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would join the Marvel Universe!" the actor said during a recent interview with the site. "This was never a genre that I thought an actor like me [in my package] could fit into. The most exciting part of joining the MCU was being told by our director and writers: ‘Do not try to fit. Just be you.’ And that gave me the freedom to run wild."
Frog-Man is one possibility, of course, but She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is rumoured to include a number of C-List superheroes and supervillains, so Mattews could have been cast as anyone!
The actor's credits include Dear White People, Ballers, The Carrie Diaries, and Roar.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows the hero as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. Along with Matthews, the supporting cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ on August 17.
