This is one of the weirder rumours we've shared here recently, but it's certainly set social media abuzz!
Apparently, Marvel Studios has tapped rapper Megan Thee Stallion to make an appearance in the She-Hulk TV series coming to Disney+ next year. It's said that she will appear as herself, though there's a chance this could be a recurring role rather than a one-off cameo.
It's hard to imagine why Megan Thee Stallion would make multiple appearances across the course of a series like this one unless it's a running gag or she's a friend of Jennifer Walters.
The rapper has made no secret of the fact she's a big comic book fan and a song she performed with Normani, "Diamonds," was actually used on the Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) soundtrack (the music video featured footage from the movie too). Perhaps she'll be one of She-Hulk's celebrity clients when she becomes a famous lawyer in New York?
It's previously been reported that Jennifer will be someone who represents superhuman clients, so if Marvel Studios wants to get really weird, perhaps Megan Thee Stallion will have superpowers?!
Tatiana Maslany will play the title character in She-Hulk, while Mark Ruffalo is set to reprise the role of The Hulk. Tim Roth returns as The Abomination, while Jameela Jamil was recently cast as Titania. Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry have also joined the series as undisclosed characters.
She-Hulk is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
