We've known that Daredevil would be making an appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law for quite a while now, and the Man Without Fear finally showed up during this week's penultimate episode for a tangle (in more ways than one) with the Emerald Amazon.

Charlie Cox reprised the role after playing Matt Murdock in three seasons of the now defunct Netflix series, and at one point, viewers thought they were going to see a recreation of the hero's now iconic hallway fight sequence from the second episode... until She-Hulk crashed the party!

Bathed in blue light, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen was all set to deliver a brutal beat-down on Leap-Frog's thugs when She-Hulk intervened before he could so much as swing a baton.

It was a funny moment, and even though fans were deprived of seeing Daredevil do his thing (there'll be plenty of time for that in Born Again), was perfectly in-keeping with this tone of this show.

Speaking to Marvel.com, head writer Jessica Gao explained why they purposely set out to subvert expectations with the scene.

“We have to keep reminding people that this is Jen's show, this is She-Hulk's show,” said Gao. “Everything in the show is like, how can we either subvert a trope or defy expectations or ground something in funny reality. That's kind of the ethos of the show. So of course, it was just natural for this show, being so meta, that we would acknowledge and tease the classic Daredevil hallway fight. But then, of course, we would have to undercut it with our girl, She-Hulk.”

What did you guys make of the sequence? Have you been enjoying She-Hulk overall?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.
