BLACK MIRROR: BANDERSNATCH Officially Listed As "A Netflix Film" By The Streaming Service

The future is looking even brighter for Black Mirror as Netflix has posted an official listing for a Netflix Film called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Will it be part of Season 5? Will it arrive this month?

Like the show itself, Netflix is keeping us guessing with Black Mirror.

Earlier this month, the verified Netflix Twitter account posted an image of what's coming to the streaming service in December. At the bottom of the image was Black Mirror on December 28, leading to speculation that the hit sci-fi suspense/drama will return for its fifth season this month.

Interestingly, the schedule listed something called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, which at the time was thought to be the title of the first episode. But as we've learned this week, it could be something completely different.

According to Netflix's own listingBlack Mirror: Bandersnatch appears to be "A Netflix Film." Unfortunately, the listing doesn't offer any details but its simple existence is enough of a confirmation that Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is real and will likely be with us by the end of the month. Whether or not this is part of season five or a complete one-off to hold us over remains to be seen.

There's no actual description, just the "Be right back" teaser that Netflix often uses for the show's promos. Black Mirror was renewed for a fifth season back in March of this year with an intriguing teaser that promised: "The future will be brighter than ever."

They already had the excellent episode "Hated In The Nation" as basically a feature. It was a solid 90 minutes.

btw, not sure how much this fact might be known out there... soon after the first season aired, well the "Entire History Of You" episode, Robert Downey Jr and his wife's production company bought the rights to the basic underlying premise. But that's still after like 4-5 years now the most I've ever heard about it. If they intended to make a theatrical film around it, a limited series or what. The rights might've even lapsed back by now.

Good, I really like this show. I'm going to say Shut up and dance and hang the dj are my favorite episodes with white Christmas being right behind them.

Just showed my family "White Christmas" a few days ago. Can't wait for this.

I wasn't the biggest fan of *most* of season 4, but I have high hopes for this one.

Watch episodes sporadically when my girlfriend has them on, find the show a little too unsettling, it’s just not for me.
