Netflix is currently developing a live-action film based on Rick Remender's The Last Days of American Crime. And while the project already had a director in Colombiana helmer, Olivier Megaton, no actors had signed on to the feature.

However, it has now been reported that the Emmy nominated Edgar Ramirez (Bright) is in negotiations to play Graham Bricke, a career criminal and one of the main characters in the comic book mini-series.

The story of The Last Days of American Crime is set in a dystopian United States that's on the verge of ending crime by broadcasting a signal nationwide. But before he is forced to say goodbye to his life of crime, Bricke teams up with other criminals to pull off the heist of the century.

Oblivion writer Karl Gajdusek penned the screenplay for the sci-fi crime thriller and is acting as a producer alongside Rick Remender, Matlock Stone and Matt O’Toole.

I was trying all day to figure out why this guy looked familiar and then it clicked on me that he played Ares in Wrath of the Titans.
