THE WITCHER: A First Look At JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Henry Cavill As Geralt Has Been Revealed

It was back in 2017 that Netflix first announced that they were adapting The Witcher, and there's an awful lot of excitement surrounding the series, particularly after Henry Cavill (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) was cast as Geralt of Rivia.

Well, we now have a first look at the series in the form of a poster and official images showing Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. The Witcher Saga started off as a series of novels by author Andrzej Sapkowski which were later adapted into a hit video game franchise (which has clearly inspired some of the visuals we're going to see in the show).

With no more Marvel TV shows on Netflix, the online streaming giant will seemingly be pushing this particular adaptation pretty hard before it debuts in the Fall.

It looks great based on what we see here, and Cavill definitely seems like the perfect choice to bring the lead character to life on the small screen. So, to check out some shots of him and the other key characters mentioned above, all you guys have to do is hit the "View List" button below.

The teaser poster doesn't reveal much but common sense says we can now expect a trailer to follow in the coming weeks. Comic-Con seems like a pretty safe bet assuming Netflix will be there!

Well, it's fair to say Henry Cavill looks the part, right? A traveling monster slayer for hire, Geralt was mutated and trained from an early age to slay deadly beasts and is obviously quite the badass.

Yennefer is a powerful sorceress and is Geralt of Rivia's true love and a mother figure to Ciri, who she views like a daughter. Anya Chalotra (Wandelust) will be taking on the role in this series.

Tthe adopted daughter of Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer of Vengerberg, Ciri is one of the franchise's lead female characters and was actually a playable character in the third video game in the series.

The costumes certainly look great so far. I've only played The Witcher 3, but this has a lot of potential. Netflix is sparing no expenses between this & The Sandman being such expensive endeavours.

Holy shit. And that is precisely why you can't jump to conclusions with bts. (I was one of them).

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Alternatively, it's not a sin and perfectly okay to change your mind based on new information instead of convincing yourself you're only allowed a single opinion and only after the fact.

@Reeds2Much - That is true. People get too angry at others for making judgements on set photos.
