Today's episode of The Book of Boba Fett mostly dealt with the immediate aftermath of Return of the Jedi, but scenes set in Mos Espa in the present day established the threat the former bounty hunter will face.
Two of Jabba's cousins, known only as "The Twins" for the time being, have made their feelings known about wanting his empire for themselves, enlisting a formidable bounty hunter as backup. Now, Fett will need to do everything within his power to protect his throne, but navigating this world of crime looks to be easier said than done.
In these newly released stills, Lord Fett sits atop Jabba's throne and surveys his kingdom. We also see more of Jennifer Beals as Garsa Fwip, a character who is definitely a mysterious new addition to the Star Wars franchise. Whether she'll serve as ally or enemy to Boba remains to be seen, but Fwip did give him a heads up about the impending arrival of the Hutts today.
The Disney+ series is now firing on all cylinders after a relatively slow opening, and it's worth noting that today's episode, "The Tribes Of Tatooine", was helmed by franchise newcomer Steph Green. Her past credits include TV shows like Watchmen, Luke Cage, and Preacher. The filmmaker did a superb job with the action and story, and we're hopeful she'll return to this Galaxy Far, Far Away soon.
