THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT: Lord Fett Takes His Throne In New Spoiler Stills From "The Tribes Of Tatooine"

Being the new ruler of Tatooine isn't proving easy for Boba Fett, and in these new stills from today's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, we see the crimelord take his throne while dealing with Garsa Fwip.

Today's episode of The Book of Boba Fett mostly dealt with the immediate aftermath of Return of the Jedi, but scenes set in Mos Espa in the present day established the threat the former bounty hunter will face.

Two of Jabba's cousins, known only as "The Twins" for the time being, have made their feelings known about wanting his empire for themselves, enlisting a formidable bounty hunter as backup. Now, Fett will need to do everything within his power to protect his throne, but navigating this world of crime looks to be easier said than done.

In these newly released stills, Lord Fett sits atop Jabba's throne and surveys his kingdom. We also see more of Jennifer Beals as Garsa Fwip, a character who is definitely a mysterious new addition to the Star Wars franchise. Whether she'll serve as ally or enemy to Boba remains to be seen, but Fwip did give him a heads up about the impending arrival of the Hutts today.

The Disney+ series is now firing on all cylinders after a relatively slow opening, and it's worth noting that today's episode, "The Tribes Of Tatooine", was helmed by franchise newcomer Steph Green. Her past credits include TV shows like Watchmen, Luke Cage, and Preacher. The filmmaker did a superb job with the action and story, and we're hopeful she'll return to this Galaxy Far, Far Away soon.

Every time Fett takes off his helmet, (which it’s a bit too much if you ask me) I think about the lack of the hood that they wear under the helmet. And how live action seems to ignore it like Batman’s eye make up.

@Stinkor1 - Have we ever seen Mandos actually wear the hood in canon material, though? IIRC, Jango didn't have one.

@Stinkor1 - Fair point. Not sure if it counts (Boba also doesn’t have glasses and a mustache) but fair point all the same.

@Stinkor1 - Going only by ESB and ROTJ. The only reason he had it on was because he was working. Vs here where it's more formal to nix the helmet when possible. Otherwise anything who wears similar armor could be mistaken for him.....in their silvery goodness.

Also why would he have a hood?
All because it was used for bts reasons?

Jango had no hood. Bo Katan and her group had no hoods. Mando has no hood. So far it seems like it doesn't need a hood.

The mayor's right hand man is Keegan-Michael Key and you can't convince me otherwise.

That one chick doesn't even look like a twi'lek. Same with the dude from the first episode. Are those two actors of some importance that we need to see who they are, w/o all the makeup?

Best parts of this series so far are the Tusken Raiders.

He stopped feeling when Jango died and now that he is emotionally involved with the Tusken Raiders, he will suffer a new tragedy.

Maybe little Tusken ...

Bobas Teeth have been really distracting for me. They're so clean but the rest of him is dirty

Only remaining wish for this series is that Boba and Fennec go off-world at some point to further cement their hold over Jabba's territory.

Love this episode. I just want more character development. I don't need a lot of action.

Two episodes in and I am HATING this show! It has some of the most unoriginal, hackney writing I have ever seen put on tv. A White Savior story? Really?! It’s like Saturday afternoon on Fox in the 90’s bad.

And I’m sorry, but Ming-Na Wen is a horrible actress. She was bad in AOS, and she’s playing the exact same character here. She’s not badass or tough, I don’t know why Disney thinks she is. She’s just wooden.

@tvor03 - Okay then - My advice is to stop watching, pointless to watch something you hate, with an actress you also dislike. There problem solved, no need to comment again :)

Not really getting invested in the show or the characters so far.

The bar scene felt very Back to the Future 2 to me.

Also at the speed the train was going I feel like it would be several days even by bantha from the camp.

The camp also seemed much smaller before the train scene which gave the impression that they lost like 80% of their tribe

Still can’t make a good looking CGI Hutt. Don’t know what it is about the design but it just never looks even close to the puppet from ROTJ
