Ahead of Andor's fourth episode arriving on Disney+ tomorrow, Lucasfilm has released an additional three character posters for the latest Star Wars TV series. This time, the critically acclaimed Rogue One prequel is putting the spotlight on Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona), Syril Karn (Kyle Soller), and Maarva Andor (Fiona Shaw).

All three characters look set to be pivotal to the story that's unfolding, with Bix an obvious love interest for Cassian and Syril someone who will almost certainly one day join the Empire in a bid to take revenge on the Rebel after his recent defeat. We hope the series isn't quite that predictable, but that does seem like a likely destination for these characters.

As for Maarva, her story may be most interesting in the past as we learn more about her taking the young Cassian under her wing and seemingly raising him as her own.

The reaction to Andor has been extremely positive so far, and we're sure the best is still to come. There are still nine episodes left in this first season, with the second batch of episodes likely arriving in 2024. It feels like a very different kind of Star Wars story, though that's far from a bad thing at this stage.

Andor, a spy thriller from Lucasfilm filmed over two 12-episode seasons, takes place five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The era is filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

The show presents Star Wars from a different perspective, focusing on everyday people whose lives are affected by the Empire. The decisions they make have real consequences, and the stakes for them - and the Galaxy - couldn’t be higher.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is also the creator and showrunner.

The first three episodes of Andor are now streaming on Disney+, while the fourth arrives this Wednesday, September 28. Check out these new character posters (via SFFGazette.com) below:

Only watched the first episode, but this is certainly a welcome direction vs Boba Fett and Obi Wan.

Damn if this show ends on a cliffhanger that won't come back until late 2024 or early 2025 then its going to be a long wait. So far its interesting but kinda boring like The Rings of Power.

The writing (specifically the dialogue) in this is so far above anything in the franchise in years, honestly quite jarring at first. Just excellent tv, full of intrigue and layered in story. Very excited for what’s to come

This is so good but boba fett was so bad. Why didn't boba have any of this edge?

@Crtdacct2say -

Boba was a rush job.

@JohnPain - it felt like a story that was being made weekly on the fly but then a cruel mad man would tear out pages of already unfinished scripts

@Crtdacct2say - They tried to hard to make Boba Fett a good guy. He should have stayed as morally grey or anti-hero at best. But the plotline of him trying to rid corruption in that city was so incredibly lame. The B plot about the sand people was ok, but still not great. The best part was the Mando stuff.

I would love if they get rid of that corporate guy who always looks he's about to pee his pants

I enjoyed the first three episodes but they should have all been one episode, the first episode. Hope the rest of the series handles the pacing better.

It’s too bad Andor didn’t kill Syril Karn on the spot. Fingers crossed he gets whacked by the end of this season :)

@TheLobster - I really want to see that dude just become cracked. An absolute madman by season's end.

Also yes; Andor is the first time I’ve given a single [frick] about Star Wars in a VERY long time.

I guess that’s what you get when you’re not trying to shove empty fan service with shitty writing and rushed scripts. Imagine that.

When this dude first showed up I thought he had a prosthetic chin for a second.

I can see why they released the first 3 episodes at once. They are all a little underwhelming and had it been released one at a time by the 3rd week people would have lost interest.

As a huge SW fan since I was a kid and it being my favorite franchise ever I just can't seem to care for any of these characters. I don't see the point of the entire show or why any of it matters for the SW universe. It's random characters in a Blade-Runner type world that does nothing for the greater story except waste time on the minutiae. This is more akin to The Office mixed with dramatic soap opera writing then to SW.
