For now, Venom 2 is still on track to be released this October, but we have no idea whether that's going to change in the weeks to come. Ultimately, it depends how much work is left to be done on the sequel, not to mention the chances of theaters actually re-opening their doors by then.
While we wait for a first look at the movie, artist Yadvender Singh Rana has shared a jaw-dropping piece of fan-art depicting Woody Harrelson's villainous Carnage tearing into Tom Hardy's Venom.
This is obviously a recreation of the iconic cover of 1995's Venom: Carnage Unleashed #3, and it would be awesome for an actual poster for the sequel to use this sort of imagery. The marketing campaign for the first film was surprisingly impressive, so it's entirely possible that new director Andy Serkis and Sony Pictures will look to head down a similar route.
Of course, less impressive was the Venom-less first teaser trailer and the first official still of Tom Hardy looking...well, a lot like Tom Hardy! Anything from the movie would be appreciated right now, though.
What do you guys think of this Venom 2 fan-poster?
