Mortal Kombat had its premiere in Thailand last night, and, as expected, spoilers have begun to find their way online.
There are no detailed plot breakdowns yet (as far as we know), but a leaked image shared to Reddit does provide our first proper look at Harrow and Between Two Worlds actress Mel Jarnson as Nitara.
We got a quick glimpse of the winged vampire in one of the recent TV spots, but this shot gives us a much better look at Jarnson as the popular character. As you'll see by clicking the link below, this take on Nitara makes a few significant changes to her video game counterpart's appearance.

We also have some details on the role Nitara plays in the movie, but if you don't want to be spoiled, read no further!
Unfortunately for fans of the character, Nitara doesn't last very long in Mortal Kombat. In fact, she's basically used as fatality fodder during a fight with Kung Lao, who takes her out without sustaining any damage. Yes, apparently he does say "flawless victory" afterwards.
What do you guys make of this leaked look at Nitara? Are you disappointed about her small part in the film? Drop us a comment down below.
In “Mortal Kombat,” MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage—or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden, an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark.
Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao and rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with Earth’s greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana—the immense power from within his soul—in time to save not only his family, but to stop Outworld once and for all?
Mortal Kombat is set for a simultaneous release in theaters and on HBO Max on April 23.
