I am a Street Fighter junkie myself. I still own the Nintendo game and recently purchased the all new Street Fighter IV on Xbox 360 which by the way kicks major butt. All hardcore fans would've watched the animation series and films which I myself very much enjoyed then came the good old 90's film starring none other the Jean-Claude Van Damme. You have to understand everything back then seemed awesome and cool but now having watched it again I see now that it was really crap, anyone remember the Jackie Chan film "City Hunter" I think the parody in that was better than the whole film combined. If you're a big fan you would have already seen the first fan made video by Joey Ansah (he choreographed fight scenes in the Matt Damon film Bourne Ultimatum) and Owen Trevor (director of the film Top Gear) entitled "Street Fighter legacy" Here is the second fan made video titled Street Fighter: Beginnings End. There is a big contrast between the two isn't there? The production team involved is called Thousand rounds and It was directed by Chris Cowan (your guess is as good as mine I have no idea who he is either, but that he's based in L.A). I for one particularly love the fight scenes in this than Legacy, You can see the way they choreographed the fight scenes to match with the game. Ken does his fire-ball and the famous rolling grab in this one, although Ken's wig was suspect, and the costumes were lacking, the effects made up for it. Apparently this is what $400 can produce, I can't even imagine how much the Hollywood flop cost. I wonder what these guys can do with a million dollars, I think the owners of the Street Fighter franchise should just give the license over to the two fan made production company's and witness their excellence. Street fighter does have the potential to be the best gaming movie ever. Here is the first fan made video by Joey Ansah below if you haven't seen it already. Is it just me or does Ken look like Tom Cruise, the actor playing Ken is actually played by an actor known as Christian Howard but the resemblance is uncanny wouldn't you agree.
