Cool. Hope it has the same level of quality as (the first two thirds of) the first movie.

For the entire runtime.

Can't say I am. I can see why the first did well in the box office, but story wise it was just "meh" to me. It had the typical climax where the villain starts off overpowered then miraculously starts to get weaker, then bam, the hero becomes the overpowered one. I've got low expectations for the sequel, which is a good thing as I'm wanting to be surprised.

@Deodorant - The big difference is that the involvement of the hero, and the defeat of the villain, is ultimately insignificant, as it doesn't save the world or bring peace to the world.

I watched Wonder Woman , Thor 3 and Black Panther recently. (I know I'm late but sometimes, I want the hype to settle down.) BP was my favourite followed by Thor Rag then WW.

I enjoyed wonder woman but there was something that I found to be very interesting. I remember when there was a little uproar when Diana said she abandoned mankind in BvS (I honestly didn't mind it) and were glad to hear it would be taken out of diana's story. But after she thought that despite her apparent murder of ares had no effect on mankind, she was ready to say f*ck mankind. Steve was literally begging her and she still wasn't having it. Which kind of made me feel like Steve was more of a hero than she was because she needed to believe there was a magical reason behind mankind's imperfections before saving them and only stopped her rage filled rampage and went on to change her mind on mankind because Steve said she loved him?

Like I said, I really enjoyed the film. And the aforementioned observation didn't detract from the film. I'm just a little surprised it hadn't been discussed.

@Highflyer - *loved her

@Highflyer - It wasn't his love for her that made her realize humanity was worth protecting. It was the fact that Steve Trevor a man who was a liar, smuggler and a murderer, did more to save the world than even she did, by sacrificing his life for it, and she realized all of humanity was capable of doing the same thing. Very similar to what Superman's sacrifice taught Batman a hundred years later.

It hasn't been discussed because everyone is convinced that an anti-war film set during World War I, where the super powered warrior questions their involvement in the war, and ultimately decides not to involve themselves in it because they won't help humanity destroy each other, is nothing more than a female led Captain America: The First Avenger. Even though, you know, none of that actually happens in The First Avenger.

@SisterSunday52 - I have to point out, I agree with the sacrifice thing. The point of my post is that similar plot points were heavily criticised in BvS but not in WW.

Personally i thought wonder woman was a very average film so I'll have to wait for the trailers to see if the sequel will interest me

Great news, Jenkins did a great job with the first, that no mans land scene choked me up a little, she understood the emotional relevance of the character and time period, villian was a slight error but I'm confident it's something she'll improve upon, it's unfortunate it's not set in modern times so we can reference what's cool and popular, Logan Paul, Kardashians, Kanye, Trump, kidding! Glad it's set in the eighties, Cold War thriller sounds cool, hopefully it's a Dark Knight, Spider Man 2, X Men 2 worthy sequel.
