It appears that the planned reshoots on 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Dark Phoenix may be just about ready to get rolling as director Simon Kinberg has shared a couple photos from the top-secret set, revealing crew members preparing for the additional photography.
While a report last month did claim that the reshoots would last close to three months, a follow-up story quickly debunked that rumor and shared that the pickups were actually scheduled for just around three weeks, which lined up with the standard amount of time studios typically allot for reshoots on their biggest films.
The studio has declined to comment in both instances, so it's hard to say which story will ultimately prove to be accurate, but, at the moment, it doesn't seem like the pickups may be as significant as many have been led to believe. It's also quite telling that Kinberg has finally shared photos from the set after we saw barely anything during the initial principal photography, which concluded in October 2017.
Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.
