Now that Darren Aronofsky is confirmed to direct his first comic book movie The Wolverine, which is said to be a standalone chapter and not a direct sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, many are wondering how will Aronofsky approach the character and of course, the story.

In this video interview, director talks about his vision for the film, why he decided to do something different that what he usually does and much more. Check it out:

I know that many of you (including me) were very disappointed with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but hear me out. I know it is still FOX and everything, but with Matthew Vaughn directing First Class and now Aronofsky doing this, it seems that they are trying to make these comic book movies at least a little better. Both Vaughn and Aronofsky are great directors and I'm curios what will they do with X-Men movies. I think that Aronofsky is the best possible choice to direct this chapter. Why? Because he has never done anything like this and he knows how to make great stories and characters. Just look at his films from Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler to his upcoming Black Swan. So, who knows, this will maybe surprise you. What are your thoughts?
