X-Men: Dark Phoenix has finished shooting but not so much as a single official image has been released from the movie. We know that Simon Kinberg has written and directed the X-Men: Apocalypse follow-up but plot details are being kept under wraps and the only real clue we have about what's coming is in the title. Well, unless this is going to be far from a faithful adaptation like X-Men: The Last Stand!

Well, if star Alexandra Shipp is to be believed, it will make good use of the source material and make fans very happy (so here's hoping the tale will take us into outer space even for just a little while).

"As a fan of X-Men, you are going to be very happy," she says, "because I’m a huge fan of X-Men and so is our director, Simon [Kinberg], who’s also writing and executive producing it. He is not letting anything go. It’s very accurate to the comics and he really gives the fans what they’ve been asking for, in my opinion. All I can say is that you’re really going to like it." Here's hoping she's right, eh?

As for what we can expect from Storm, the actress wouldn't reveal much and even refused to confirm or deny the return of Storm's mohawk! "If I ever want to do another X-Men movie in the future I can’t tell you sh*t. (Laughs)" We'll hopefully find out more soon as X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be released on November 2nd, 2018. Are you guys excited? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I hope she's right but rumors and reports (especially Jessica Chastain not playing Lilandra) kind of dispute that

@EnnisFan - The official synopsis names Lilandra. She is in the film, it just Jessica Chastain isn't playing her.
I believe Chastain is likely playing the Pheonix Force. Or she could be playing Emma Frost (which I hope, but it's unlikely).
Though its suggested she is killed in DoFP, nothing definitively shows she is dead (eg autopsy photo). Having her return would allow them to loosely follow the comic storyline: the hell fire club manipulating Jean. Have her set up her own version of the club.
As to why her not aging in 30 years. (A) she is a telepath she can make people perceive her as young, (b) she would techincally be ageless in her diamond form + would permit her to hide from Xavier and (C) it's Emma Frost, she love plastic surgery.

@StormXmen123 - didn't know the synopsis had her name it in, also just figured if they don't have a notable actress playing her or we haven't heard the casting yet but we do have Jessica Chastain then Lilandra would have a diminished role. I'm hoping they just have kept it under wraps I guess

We're in a interesting time.
Ragnarok is suffering no collateral damage from being very-unRagnarok.
But Fox seemingly has a gun to their head to deliver a panel by panel faithful adaptation.
Maybe it's time to retire.

@IronGenesis - I think plenty have issue with Ragnarok, as evidenced by the comments sections of the articles posted earlier today, but with Fox its the same ol game.

Call me biased if you want, but I'm a huge X-Men fan who has rarely been impressed with what Fox has done with the franchise. Singer has directed four of the six. It is his universe. It is his playground. Outside of Magneto, I don’t think Singer gives a shit about the characters that make up the X-MEN.

More than any other comic, X-MEN is a soap opera – the romantic lives of the characters is just as important as the bad guy they’re fighting that month. Members of the team full out despise each other, but still work together as a cohesive unit. We’ve barely seen any of that in the movies, partly because the focus has always been on Wolverine or the Xavier/Magneto relationship. Fox needs to let the other characters breath, to let them live.

Its hard to buy into Kinberg giving X fans what they want when he's failed to do so since Last Stand and Singer since 2000.
