Lauren Shuler Donner Confirms That Channing Tatum Will Play GAMBIT

We don't actually know where and when he'll debut as the character, but X-Men: Days of Future Past producer Lauren Shuler Donner confirms that Channing Tatum has been cast as Gambit!

When Channing Tatum first expressed interest in playing Gambit, it wasn't really regarded as much more than an actor simply mentioning a character they would like to play and that being the end of it. Well, when X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner got wind of those remarks, she too said that he would be a good choice to play the character, and based on the interview below, it sounds like the deal is done! When he'll first play Gambit is unclear, but after John Carter star Taylor Kitsch failed to make much of an impact when he played the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it should be fun to see what Tatum - who has turned his career around with movies like 21 Jump Street, Magic Mike and White House Down - does in the role. What do you guys think?

Well he'll suck, should have kept who they already had, he was one of the decent bits in that horrible X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.

What??? I didn't really care for Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, but I would prefer him in the role instead of Channing Tatum.

Unless the solo Gambit has Remy entering a breakdancing contest or going undercover as a male stripper, I don't see Channing Tatum being a good Gambit.
