Musician So Impressed With Brian Wood's X-MEN #1 That He Wrote A Rap Tune About It

Have you read Brian Wood's all-female X-Men #1 yet? Pretty good right? Well, Adam WarRock (see what he did there?) thought it was SO good, that he had to cast his feelings into song. And the most surprising this is..it's actually not half bad!

Says WarRock:

"After reading Brian Wood‘s new all-female X-Men #1 this past week, and then weirdly reading negative comments about having an all female team, I decided to make an update on my Girl Comics song that I made 3 years ago, trying to name drop as many X-Women on one track as I could. I personally am all about an all female X-Team, so haters to the left."

Well, I'm not much for rap, but you can definitely tell he's a fan by some of the names he dropped.

There were negative reviews of X-Men #1? I was skeptical of the gimmick, but the book really delivered.

X-Men #1 wasnt bad... but it wasnt anything special neither :\

My biggest gripes are some of the designs (Storm... are you kidding me???) and characters being used (I am SO tired of Rogue its not even funny though I like the outfit, and I LOVE Psylocke but shes being overused right now).

As for the song, I've heard worse. I've also heard better :P

"And the most surprising this is..it's actually not half bad!"

So... Rap music is usually bad? Funny implication. And to top it off, this dude is not even black, lol. The reason why such an implication could occur is because many of you look in the wrong direction for rap that actually sounds good when in relation to CBMs. Example? Lupe Fiasco, on various occasions, references CB characters, anime and even video games.

What happened to all the open minds? O_o

I love Adam WarRock.
He made an entire set of Marve NOW based songs the other week and it was great.

Good sound, good flow, good work with the lyrics, decent instrumentals though musically a simple and repeated progression. All in all it was pretty good! I love how everyone feels so empowered as the critic on the Internet. Original music is tough to do so for an amateur this was well done.
