X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I have no idea where it came from, but the fine folks over at fan site Jennifer Lawrence Daily have got their hands on this fantastic new image of the actress as Mystique. Enjoy...

X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 3, later this year!

Another terrible pic... well, I don't care anymore! The only hope is if this horror works better in motion than in stills.

ridiculous...i hate this concept...mystique as one of the original x-men? suited up? why? god why? this is the number one thing i have against this film...singer is an arrogant prick for this, regardless if he made some good films before this..this is as ridiculous as having Shredder being one of the original Ninja Turtles....and before movietheaterlad comes up on here to point out that Mystique has been a member of the x-men before, i must say this is different...say what you want but seeing mystique suited up in the original yellow costume FEELS wrong...it's okay to have Banshee and Havok, at least they were second class and there in the old school days, and its okay not to have cyclops and jean (doesn't excuse the usage of the first class name) because this is a prequel..but this is terrible...it's hard for me not to outright condemn singer on the level of joel Shcumacher for this...

@ BruceWayneNewton.. i can understand people who aren't passionate about x-men having a very "open minded" approach to this film but the way you guys dismiss the ones who are passionate about x-men as "whiny fan boys" or "haters" is really messed up to me...we are suppose to be the comicbook community and i guarantee you if this were the years when "batman and robin" came out and you batman fans were expressing your concerns...i'd never down you as a "whiny fan boy" or a "hater"...i'd understand completely...

I wish they rebooted the franchise from the ground up. It'd be really cool to see the five originals in those outfits.

@movietheaterlad i tried to reason with that notion because you are right...x isn't a "teacher" yet...he's still a student himself figuratively speaking but that just leads me to another agitating prospect...brian singer's arrogance in calling this first class!!!! this is like batman begins and there really hasn't been a definitive venture into the early days of x and magneto..at least not on this scale but there is something that feels wrong about this pic...i hope they handle this well and don't make it corny like some of those iceman/rogue scenes in x2 and x3

it is so pathetic all of you are forcing yourself to hate this movie to feel like you are against the system or some crap it is quite obvious and pathetic that you cant see a good movie in front of your eyes

Honestly regular blue skin would be so dumb, I like the idea of the scales and it gives a cooler effect when she shifts. I also feel like this team isn't the X-Men yet so it's not weird she's apart of it. I'm still excited for this. The make up looks exactly the same as the X1-3 mystique, granted her forehead does look a bit larger. But Jennifer is an amazing actress so I can't wait. Plus if you honestly hate the makeup that much she did say she was only in it for like 10% of her screen time. Plus Bryan Singer just had a concept for this one and had the writers of Thor write this, and Thor is apparently really good. SO THERE IS HOPE!
