RUMOR: Famke Janssen Films Cameo As 'Jean Grey' In THE WOLVERINE

Well, this is interesting. According to We Got This Covered, Famke Janssen (who played 'Jean Grey/The Phoenix' in all three of 20th Century Fox's X-Men movies) recently flew over to Sidney to shoot a cameo in The Wolverine. The actress recently confirmed that she would be interested in reprising the role in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: Days of Future Past, so it's strange that this is where she will be appearing next, especially when the James Mangold helmed film is thought to be another prequel. There's no word on how big or small a role she'll have, although the site specifically mention that it's a cameo appearance. Are you looking forward to seeing Janssen back? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

I hope with this timeline plot they change Janssen for a different actress.

Jean Grey is supposed to be cute-hot, not old and hollywood fit.

I don't care. And honestly I don't think anybody does...

AS LONG AS ITS GOOD.

But good does include at least a coherent timeline.

I personally think that Famke done a great job as jean despite the two don't resemble each other in anything. I think famke if was given a better chance as dark phoenix she would have been marvelous she is good at playing EVIL role

Huh? Wasn't this supposed to be a standalone with no ties to the (fo)X-men movies? Or did that go out the window when Aronofsky left? I haven't been keeping up with the news with this movie that much, so I probably missed that piece of news.

In regards to Famke, it sounds BEYOND stupid to have a Jean Gray her age in the sequel to the PREquel. All the castings for the female characters in the first three X-films sucked, please use this opportunity to correct the problem. Get a younger, prettier, and better suited actress to play Jean please.

@tazmaniak

Its just another in a LONG line of things that don't line up with what the people involved initially presented or insinuated. They don't have to tell us shit, especially if they're gonna change it later.

They tell you one thing, then through the course of time let you know another change after another then its wtf, just make the movie. Give me a plot, then AFTER any one thing is set in stone as in filmed at least, then use that to promote interest.

But no, let me just say a bunch of random crap, then show you we're filming something different, it's annoying. Whats the point of that for fans. They just better make a proper sequel to FC or I'm done with their movies
