The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be directed by Bryan Singer ("Usual Suspects"). Sebastian Shaw absorbs Kinetic Energy to make himself stronger, Bishop absorbs it and redirects it as energy blasts, like Cyclops and Havok's attacks.

I don't think Bishop can absorb the energy of someone punching him like Shaw, I think he just absorbs other energies like his own and redirects it.
