While we're still waiting on an official announcement in regards to Big Hero 6, the fine folks over at Bleeding Cool have seemingly discovered the release date of the animated movie. According to Rentrak, an agency who work with distributors, exhibitors and advertisers across Europe and America, the film has been slotted in for a release on November 21st, 2014...in Spain! However, it's likely that the US and UK release dates will also be sometime around this period. Created in 1998, Big Hero 6 is a Japanese team sanctioned by the government. The roster originally included X-Men characters Sunfire and Silver Samurai, although it seems far more likely that this version will focus on the younger team who last year made an appearance in an Amazing Spider-Man tie-in.

So, if this is true, 2014 will have The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Days of Future Past and Big Hero 6?

Meanwhile, WB doesn't so much as have a DC film in any stage of production beyond Man of Steel. Not even a greenlight for a film.

If Disney's involved I'm sure it'll be at least decent. At this point making the comparisons with DC/WB is just pointless. If WB is content with making animated movies and CW shows then so be it. As a Marvel fan I am more than pleased with all the stuff we're getting. As a DC fan, I'll just have to wait my turn. I think at some point we'll get DC properties on the silver screen

not really a big fan of hero 6, but if an animated universe finally opens the door to have all the characters together without worrying about "who has the rights to what".. then bring it.

a good opportunity to finnally bring events like civil war, world war hulk, onslaught, secret wars, house of M..... to the screen, even if it is just in animation.

Bring it on. All competition is good and I hope the quality is way up there. WB will eventually get their act together and start turning out some top films to compete with Disney/Marvel.
