You read the headline right. Disney and Pixar are planning not one, not two, not even three but EIGHT movies from 2016 - 2018. While it does take around three years to animate a film this to me seems a bit excessive. Now no word yet on the names of the untitled films; but considering Bob Iger's recent quote about sequels ("We have a lot of sequels to our favourites coming") I predict at least 2 of these untitled films would be a sequel (Incredibles 2 Please!?!?)

Enough with the sequels already. Only TS was deserving of sequels. Can we go back to what made Pixar so iconic?

There IS a Cars3.... but its called Planes. No joke... its the same universe but now titled and focused on planes. So sad and unoriginal...

there had better be Incredibles 2 that is the only Pixar movie i have ever been interested in seeing a sequel to.

also would be happy to see some Pixar made Marvel movies.

finding dory is def. on the list. since ellen confirmed it was coming out 2015

if incredibles 2 is not on that list i lost all respect for disney now...seriously....im sick of damn cars...there is no need for toy story 4 ...toy story 3 was the PERFECT ending...incredibles 2 shud be on that list!! my god if its not...ima be pissed

if we get another CARS movie i will be heated!!....

i am sick of sequels they need to go back to being themselves and original and not keep making sequels...i want incredibles 2!! thats the ONLY! 1 i want to see

8?????!!! So its finally happened, Pixar is slowly becoming Dreamworks. Wasnt Pixar great because they took their time with their movies and created really cool and original ideas. And when they did do sequels, they did what proper sequels do, work brilliant as standalone movies but also develop characters from the previous movie. What the hell happened to Pixar?

Wait a minute...Im overreacting, if you read it more clearly, its saying theres PIXAR movies AND DISNEY movies being released. Disney and Pixar are separate after all. So theres 4 Pixar movies and 4 Disney Animated movies coming coming out between 2016 and 2018

2 DISNEY movies in 2016 AND 1 PIXAR movie in 2016
NO DISNEY movie in 2017 and 2 PIXAR movies in 2017
2 DISNEY movies in 2018 and 1 PIXAR movie in 2018

Examples of modern Disney animated movies would be Bolt, Wreck It Ralph, Tangled and the upcoming Big Hero 6

While Pixar do Toy Story, The Incredibles, Wall-E, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Up, Brave, Monsters Inc, Cars etc.

They are actually separate from each other, so looking at it this way, its not actually that many movies

Im hoping we are getting an original movie AND a sequel (which maybe could be Incredibles 2!!! It would give Brad Bird 3 years to make it) from Pixar in 2017, so they can cash-in with a sequel and do an original movie

And I hope the second Disney movie from 2016 and 2018 will be a Marvel Animated movie like Big Hero 6
