Marvel has released a first promo/interview from its upcoming animated series Hulk and The agents of S.M.A.S.H, revealing the first snippets of footage from the show. The trailer also confirms the rumors stating that the series is made like a reality tv show, where the Hulks will be talking and explaining things to the audience. Check it out below:

Hulk and the agents of SMASH will debut on August 11th on Disney XD.

In "Marvel's Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.," Hulk has long fought alone to protect a world that sees him as a monster, but his friend Rick Jones has taken it upon himself to film the world-saving exploits of Big Green and his team to change that image. In this never before seen team up of Hulk, his cousin She-Hulk, A-Bomb, Red Hulk and Skaar, Marvel's mightiest super heroes form an eccentric family living under one roof, working together to tackle threats that are too enormous for other heroes to handle. From trying to house break their giant red pet T-Rex to stopping Ego the Living Planet from crashing into the Earth, the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. must learn to balance Hulk-sized action with everyday family-sized problems.

actually looks a lot more interesting then I had expected. I was really into Greg Pak's hulk run which dealt with the hulk family so as long as it doesn't feel like Ultimate Spider-Man too much I'll be down for it.

The reality show aspect of this sounds kind of... Interesting. I'm sure the boy will love it. Hell, they'd sit and watch anything with Hulk(s) in it.

I like the reality show type concept, but I do wonder how they will play that as anything more than one note over and over. That's not to say it can't be done, just that I personally am not sure how I would keep it from being ultra repetitive.

Kinda getting a "Batman Family" vibe . . . if this is the tone, I like it. It will appeal to lots of youngsters & they will grow up liking all things Hulk.

The animation looks good, but the premise of the show.

"Trouble in town, looks like I'm needed, time to SMASH!!!"

That is SO bad, what was Marvel thinking?!?

Was this Disney's influence? That was the fear when they bought Marvel that they would ruin the properties and that looks like it to me with this show. :(

This sounds an awful LOT like "ultimate spider-man".

The idea of a "family" of Hulks could actually be pretty funny if it was written right. I don't expect it will be, though.

We had a good run of several excellent superhero series the last few years. Looks like we've swung back to a run of strictly-little-kid stuff. I guess if stuff like this gets my six-year-old nephew into superheroes, at least SOME good can come from it.

The whole "time to SMASH!" slogan reminds me of the 1979 solo TV series that The Thing had with his "Thing ring do your thing" slogan.
