Geoff Johns On The Possibility Of DC Adapting Unproduced Screenplays Into DC Animated Movies
DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns shares his thoughts on the possibility of Warner Bros. turning unproduced screenplay's like J.J. Abrams' Superman: Flyby into animated movies. It sounds as if the studio has actually already given it some consideration! Check it out.

Outside of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, DC and Warner Bros. hasn't had an awful lot of luck with their live-action comic book movies (see: Superman Returns and Green Lantern). While that looks set to change with Man of Steel, there are still many unproduced screenplays which have been shelved at one point or another. So, why not turn these into animated movies? That's exactly the question that Collider put to DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns recently and it turns out that it's something the studio has actually considered!
Something that you guys do really well is DC Animated movies. Is there any possibility of taking a movie script that never got made, like a J.J. Abrams Superman, and taking that script or idea and making a DC Animated movie out of it?
There’s always a possibility. That’s not the first time that’s come up. There’s always discussions about what would be really cool to do.
Which undeveloped projects would you guys like to see brought to life as an animated movie? Superman: Flyby? George Miller's Justice League? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts below!
