INHUMANS Coming To Marvel Knights DVD April 23rd

Marvel has just announced that on April 23rd of this year we will see The Inhumans in animated form for the very first time when they make their debut in a new Marvel Knights movie. Check out the DVD cover art and a list of special features etc.

There have been whispers of a movie outing for The Inhumans for a while now, but I reckon that was around the time Marvel settled on Guardians Of The Galaxy for their first foray into the cosmic side of the MCU. We may see Black Bolt and his pals up on the big screen yet, but for now we have their debut on Marvel Knights DVD. Here is the cover and details thanks to Marvel.com..

Synopsis:

The Inhumans have always been one of Marvel's most enduring oddities. A race of genetic outsiders, they live secluded in their island kingdom of Attilan, preferring not to mix with the outside world. Even stranger, their genetic mutations are self-endowed; each Inhuman, as a coming-of-age ritual, endures exposure to the Terrigen Mists, a strange substance that imparts unearthly powers--some extraordinary, some monstrous. But now the kingdom of Attilan is under attack from without and within. Can the Royal Family, led by Black Bolt, repel the foreign invaders who blast at their outer defenses, as well as the internal threat of Black Bolt's insane brother, Maximus the Mad? This popular series takes a classic Marvel cast of characters, and infuses it with a modern sensibility that includes international politics and an awareness of class systems. Dark and grimly compelling, the "Inhumans" is one story that won't be forgotten any time soon.

Bonus Features Include:

A Look Back At The Inhumans with Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and Supervising Producer Kalia Cheng.

This is Marvel ''testing the waters'' to see it the public will respond well to an Imhumans movie. I wouldn't be shocked if the dvd is a success that they announce a Ihumans movie for 2020 sometime in the near future!

This'll be interesting. I'm excited.

Although, I'm pretty sure the Inhumans were in a few episodes of Fantastic Four so I don't think that would qualify as their first time.

Either way, Good find!

Marvel Knights Animation are always Motion Comics. I liked the Inhumans enough in the comics but I'm really glad they didnt proceed with a cinematic outing. I absolutely would not have been interested. I actually enjoy the motion comics. Its not the prettiest but its good nostalgia

Yeah pretty sure this article is not right in saying

"The Inhumans in animated form for the very first time when they make their debut in a new Marvel Knights movie."

nr.1 They have been animated before, and
nr.2 I think this isn't a movie at all, probably a motion comic.

Ah, another motion comic I see. Extremis' art actually translated really well into animation. It was a fluid translation from digital static art to motion art. While a hell of a lot of fun (thanks to the voice cast), Astonishing X-Men felt a lot closer to the 1966 Marvel Superheroes toons (which I still love with all my heart) in terms of one or two areas of comic panel in motion and not much else.

I haven't seen Black Panther or Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers yet (they're on my Amazon watch list), so I don't know how those turned out, but I'm hopeful. I think Jae Lee's could translate quite well.
