Before Phil Coulson, there was another S.H.I.E.L.D. handler/liason  to The Avengers back during the '50s run of Earth's Mightiest Heroes comics.  In more recent times, Jimmy Woo has been a member of another Marvel superhero espionage team, Agents of Atlas. Whether those two positions have any bearing on his current assignment remains to be seen.

Per The Tracking Board, the character is set to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Ant-Man & The Wasp, played by Fresh Off The Boat star Randall Park.

Confirmed cast for the July 6, 2018 Marvel Studios feature include Paul Rudd,  Evangeline Lilly, Hannah John-Kamen,  Michael Douglas and Michael Peña.

Have his character be introduced in a scene where he's listening to Katy Perry's "Firework" and you can have all my money.

@MuttonMan - Amazing performance. I actually believed that he was a worthless dictator overcompensating for his deficiencies by developing nuclear arms and threatening countries that could pluck him from the face of the Earth like an infected pubic hair.

Out of all of the Marvel characters we know are being introduced into the MCU in the next few years, seeing the Wasp on screen is the one i'm most excited for. We'll have had 10 years of movies in the Avengers universe and The Wasp has been pretty absent. That's just not right.

Awesome! Love him on FotB. It should be pretty easy for his character to cameo on AOS as well, since he's already on ABC.

@NoAssemblyReqd - Perhaps not coincidentally, AoS's Ming-Na recently cameo'd on FotB in a fladhback as a school friend of Randall Park's character.
