ANT-MAN Concept Art Reveals How The Character Could Have Looked In The Marvel Movie

Conceptual illustrator Andy Park has posted another awesome bit of artwork to his Twitter page. This time he's provided a look at one of the early designs he did for Scott Lang's Ant-Man suit, and the diminutive Marvel superhero could have looked quite different in the recent movie...

Ahead of the release of Ant-Man on DVD and Blu-ray next month, check out this concept art from Andy Park. This design is apparently one Marvel considered using for the character, but Park says he's glad they went with the look they did. It's not a million miles away from the final costume anyway, aside from the helmet which isn't quite as angular, and leaves his face uncovered.

Do you think this would have been a better choice? Sound off below.

I'm hoping he gets his mouth exposed in the sequel. I think it looks better. I also hope they save him growing for ant-man and wasp and not do it in Civil War. They are already probably going to do the Hawkeye thing.

They got it right in the film. This concept art looks too busy with the detailing.

@Jollem - A lot of people liked it (including me), and a lot of people didn't. And that goes for just about everything...

Please don't waste your time just to get a rise out of people, only for them to have to flood the comment section with the same old crap...

Lets face it, Pym got the short end of the stick, everything that made him interested was given to Lang and Stark. He isn't even a founding member of the Avengers. That being said, being played by Michael Douglas isn't a horrible consolation prize.

The concept art is pretty cool and could be used for a future Ant-Man film, but I can see why they went with a fully covered mask, I imagine it's way more convenient for stunt doubles Who don't nessecarily look like the stars of these films.

You guys still entertaining Jollem, eh?
I can't see what kind of attention-deprived nonsense he's posting this time, as I've blocked him (which is something I suggest EVERYONE does). The guy's always bashing MCU films, but he's obviously spending the time (and $$), to see said films.
If everyone on here hated GOTG, Ant-man, etc. like they do FF, then he'd probably be the first one to say "I enjoyed it" or "Nice little popcorn flick." Contrarian is as contrarian does.
Now, if he truly did enjoy movies like MoS and especially Transformers: AoE, then that should tell you what kind of mentality you're dealing with. Peace.

@FishyZombie

Yeah, Douglas is great, always liked him as an actor. But, he's going to be 73 or 74 years old by the time Ant-Man and The Wasp hit the screen. I'm not even sure that Pym will have a role in that movie because Douglas hasn't signed on for anymore MCU movies yet, even though he said he's interested

Either way,

Hank and Janet are better than Lang and Hope

Movie suit was better. This concept looks like Robocop meets AntMan.
