Can't believe how well the MCU is going. We're already getting set photos of Avengers 2. Soon enough we'll be seeing costumes and fight scenes.

Long Live the MCU!

Shit like Hulking out in South Africa is why Banner can never be a full-time Avenger :P I hope they do that "forty[-whatever] days without incident" thing from TIH. It'd be interesting to see if Banner went through his own movie without actually having a movie during Phase Two.

@Kurne It very well could be either one of them, but SA onlookers still insist this scene mainly involves the Hulk, so I'm just going with that until something else shows up.

@DCMF

Yeah man don't worry, I was just pointing out other (possible) candidates :P I'm actually liking that Whedon seems to be adding more CG-capable characters in this film. Even he said that most of the characters in the first film basically had easy/punchy powers. Guess they don't have to worry about that too much for Avengers 3 (well, if they add BP instead of Strange).

@ChitauriCommander Ixnay on the testosterone nay.

Spider-Man is not an Avenger. Why is it so hard for dipshits to realize this? Pick up a comic. People bitch about following the comics, well why do you want Spidey in an Avengers flick, if he isn't one in the comics?

When Avengers was having a domestic dispute, AKA Civil War, Spidey, along with Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Wolverine and the rest of the ground-level heroes rose up to become the New Avengers and when the Avengers were reformed, Spidey and the rest would occasionally help out; Form an Ultimate Alliance.

Now remove your grody tampon, hike up your skirt and quit caps-locking.

I agree with ChitauriCommander - Sony/Fox have no idea what they are doing... They only copied the Marvel formula as Marvel Studios had the balls to make such a massive series of films leading into The Avengers which made a ton of cash!

Cash Sony/Fox want for themselves

Sony and Fox will never make a movie fans are as happy with like Marvel has. Before you cry about IM2 and 3, those weren't TERRIBLE movies. They were also part of the MCU. The sick thing is, I could almost tolerate Sony's Spidey (especially with the new costume) if they were to strike a deal with ol' Mickey Mouse and have Spidey be a part of the MCU. The only thing is, I would want a PROPER Goblin, and Norman to eventually become a greater threat to the MCU.
RamonSuarez
RamonSuarez - 2/17/2014, 2:13 AM
SMH. When people like Gunslinger say that only Iron Man was a great film they state their own opinion, not the consensus fact. Avengers is already considered a classic in the comic book genre.

Besides, its the MCU which is truly great. Not the individual films. No studio has ever pulled off what Marvel has done in a mere 6 years.

For all the crap that people have talked about Phase 2 I am seeing a great deal of confidence by Marvel. They've taken a major risk in IM3 with their twist ending, they were able to get Thor's storyline linked to the Infinity saga, hired comic directors like the Russos to make their political thriller/action version of a Cap movie, have a very unique slant with a James Gunn directed GOTG, created an Agents of SHIELD show, and are just stuffing the Avengers with pure comic pulp goodness.

This universe is becoming so diverse and comic book-like its crazy.
HulkorDie
HulkorDie - 2/17/2014, 2:22 AM
Sorry but I need more than 2 films a year and not some over crowded avengers vs x-men crapfest that idiot fan boys think will be life changing. Whether you like the movies or not it's a blessing we are getting them in the first place. And you can thank fox and sony for that.

RamonSuarez
RamonSuarez - 2/17/2014, 2:26 AM
LOL. Why do fanboys act like the studios are doing us a favor by making these films? They aren't in the business of charity. They make them because we pay good money to watch them. We should thank ourselves for this golden age of CBMs and not the studios which ignored them for years.
CherryBomb
CherryBomb - 2/17/2014, 3:00 AM

Instead of people blaming Sony and Fox for being "greedy", blame Marvel. They sold the rights in the first place to all these companies to make money, would you rather Marvel have not sold them and gone bust? If it weren't for the success of the Sony and Fox CBM's you probably wouldn't have Iron Man or the other Avenger movies.

So yeah it's understandable to bash on the Fox and Sony movies but don't be ungrateful.

I wish Liv Tyler would come back... Though she's much taller than Ruffalo and I doubt Marvel would bother to give Ruffalo what Downey wears when he's next to Paltrow. I wouldn't either. It'd be a bit ridiculous for 2 actors.

I just hope they don't completely rule out Betty. She's too important. Recast and completely ignore TIH if you have to.

When will people realise that Marvel have and will always cater for everybody, young and old. These movies are BASED on comic books. Comic books appeal to children as well as us "grown ups". Just because it's us "grown ups" that come to sites like this and obsess about these movies it doesn't mean Marvel have to make their movies for us. They make them with an attempt to please as many people as possible just like the comics do. We are not Marvel's target audience, EVERYBODY is Marvel's target audience. I accept this. You all should too. Just be grateful that we are all getting a new and exciting shared cinematic universe. Lets hope DC/WB can follow suit and create something great too. What a time to be a comic book fan and a movie fan. Embrace it guys and gals.

There were children in the theaters when I saw Dark Knight and Rises so those must be toddler and family friendly films as well. And guess what people did laugh in the theaters as well for certain scenes. So it must be a comedy too.
