Marvel have issued a press release confirming that the two-part series premiere of Disney XD's Avengers Assemble will be released on DVD later this year. The special features have also been revealed. Hit the jump for details!

The 46-minute pilot episode of Marvel's Avengers Assemble is set to arrive on DVD on October 8 in a package dubbed "Assembly Required." Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and the newest recruit Falcon, battle threats no single hero could vanquish in Marvel's spectacular 2-part animated event, Marvel's Avengers Assemble.

Can the world's most powerful team of Super Heroes put aside their differences and learn to live together under one roof long enough to save the world from ultimate destruction? The answer will be revealed when the Red Skull and M.O.D.O.K. wage war on The Avengers. Bring home all the thrills and non-stop action, complete with never-before-seen* footage and bonus features.

Starring the talented voice cast of Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) as Iron Man, Roger Craig Smith (Wreck-It-Ralph) as Captain America, Fred Tatasciore (Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness) as Hulk, Travis Willingham (Shelf-Life) as Thor, Troy Baker (Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man) as Hawkeye, Bumper Robinson (The Game) as The Falcon, Laura Bailey (The Super Hero Squad Show) as Black Widow.

[frick] this show! Seriously, Marvel's animation department keeps getting worse. I'm excited for the movies, but man do these new shows suck! I'm pretty sure Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H. will be the final nail on the coffin.

MAC: Yeah the finale felt very weak. "Yeah, let's throw all the heroes together to stop the big baddie". Best finale in my mind was "Spider-Wars" in Spider-Man:TAS. Gosh, I loved that show .JLU could've had the greatest finale ever with Luthor/Braniac (that S*it was incredible), but that extra season (while good) didn't really go out the way I would've like.

Avenger EMH was never going to get a third season. Marvel wanted Chris Yost working on the new Thor Film anyway. I am happy for Yost he has gone from Marvel intern to Marvel feature filmwriter.

Avengers Assemble is showing improvement. I liked the last 2 episodes.

Captain America should be the team leader. Black Widow should be Russian. Far too much infighting, they have a great roster of villains, USE IT! Falcon shouldn't be anywhere near this(Black Panther should) and every line out of every characters mouth shouldn't be a friggin' wisecrack. Do these things and it wouldn't be a complete train wreck.

This show is a waste of time. @ like everyone said sure A:EMH was bad. But i wanted to see them go into the civil war storyline. That would have been great like the skrulls and kree.
