As we get closer to the April 27 release of Avengers: Infinity War, the promotion is going to begin kicking into high gear, so those of you that don't want to see too much before then may want to resist temptation!

Though there's nothing particularly spoiler-y here, Marvel has debuted a new TV spot for the film, and it contains quite a bit of previously unseen footage.

First, we get a new shot of The Guardians of The Galaxy, as Star-Lord urges his teammates to "put on their mean faces" in anticipation of a showdown with Thanos. That's followed by a new glimpse of The Hulk, and a scene in which Tony Stark "knights" Peter Parker, thus making him an official member of The Avengers.

Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments.

@HeavyMetal4Life - This made me go "awwww" when I saw it. Such a touching moment for Peter.

It's moments like this that I've been waiting to see since the Amazing Spider-man movies were coming out and I was thinking to myself how much I wished Spider-man was in the Avengers.

Don't like what they're doing with Spidey...Doesn't even feel like the Spider-Man at his core.

@Kevwebsz - Feels like the spider I read in the comics

@ImmortalCipher - Maybe it was just how I connected to him in the comics. I love him because he was a kid making all these big adult superhero decisions without any sidekick or begging for help. He did it on his own, struggled on his own, overcame those obstacles without running to people. I hated how whiney and desperate he sounded with Tony

@Kevwebsz - Well at the end of homecoming he did decide to leave the avengers. It was his choice to fight thanos, and his choice to be super hero.

@Kevwebsz - I fully agree. My biggest problem with this Spiderman is he has everything handed to him.
He has no money problems, no family problems, no job problems, no school problems, no friend problems, not even any girl problems.
The best part of Spiderman was him struggling with normal everyday teenage/adult problems.

@shadowspider9 - “no school problems, no friend problems, not even any girl problems” seriously!! Did you even watch homecoming?

@shadowspider9 - What movie did you even watch?
shadowspider9

@ImmortalCipher - His only school problem was Flash kind of ragging on him. Which was minor and not even a big deal because no one took Flash seriously and thought he was an ass for doing it.

What friend problems did he have? Ned found out who he was right at the beginning and gave him someone to confide in. Something Spiderman never really had till he told MJ who he was. He never had to lie or ditch Ned and feel guilty.
If you are referring to his team being mad at him for missing the debate they forgave him instantly.

Girl problems were mixed. He didn't really have any problem getting a girl because Liz obviously had a crush on him from the start and accepted his invitation instantly.
He did too having to ditch her to stop her dad which I do think was true the idea of Spider-man having to chose between being responsible and his own happiness.
But that was really the only time he had to do that.

@shadowspider9 - You know what I’m not gonna explain this to you. Watch homecoming again and not evertime he is taken out of school, has to leave his crush and help Ned keep his identity a secret rather than reading a Wikipedia page of spiderman homecoming and watching the trailers,

@shadowspider9 - I was not a huge fan of SM:H, but damn i dont think you even watched it. Flash rags on him yes, and people literally dont give af about who he is. At the party they all rag on him, and that is a party of popular kids that he got invited to because the cute girl doesnt see him as anything other than nice guy pete. Hell the first scene of his high school Ned asks him to build a death start and the cheerleaders say "so lame" about the two of them. Then his teacher busts him not paying attention, then the lunch scene "MJ" calls them losers, AND THEN he gets his team on his back because he wants to be spiderman. THEN it shows him in his neighborhood where he shines, being a local guy. I could go on way more about this all, but this is the first 10 minutes of the film.

His problems are more real world in that he is a nobody, the people that know who he is are the ones on his team of nerds and Ned- the rest of the school has no idea who peter is. Since Harry was not in this iteration yet Ned is a good sub as best buddy.

Then there are girl problems, just like the comics Peter constantly has to chose between saving people or getting the girl. Its always the wrong time/place for peter, and homecoming made that same distinction. Liz doesnt have a crush on him until the 3rd act, but does think he is a nice guy just reserved, and peters confidence grows through the movie to make him look better as a BF for her.

SM:H was not amazing but it definitely got a lot right and didnt have too rehash the uncle ben stuff for the 6th time.

@shadowspider9 - I know what you are talking about, didn’t see much development in the life sucks Department for him ourstide of a few scenes, but I honestly thinks that’s because he’s not owned by Marvel and they are doing it because they don’t want to waste screen time retelling a story, need to get him into action before Sony changes their mind. I would feel the pressure to speed things up if I put him in my biggest movie ever and the deal to have was basically a handshake

@MitchConner - That is something I REALLY have a problem against.
Disney seems to have this rule in place for Spider-man of 'do not do ANYTHING that the other movies have done.
In some way's this works and in understandable, like not re-using the same villains.
In others ways it hurts it because it also leaves out the good. No Harry, no MJ, no daily bugle, no money or reputation problems, or the other stuff i mentioned. not even any web-slinging. at no point in Homecoming does Peter ever web-sling.

It seems like Disney has a throw the baby out with the bath water mentality. They don't want to rehash stuff, which is good, but it means also not using stuff that was considered great in the other movies as well.
