It's recently been reported that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness will begin writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in the next couple of weeks. We're obviously a long way off from learning any concrete details about the movie, but we're living in exciting times, and The Multiverse Saga is rapidly beginning to take shape.
Seemingly responding to those reports, Loveness took to Twitter to jokingly ask how one writes a screenplay. That prompted a response from comic book writer Chip Zdarsky, with the Daredevil and Batman scribe sharing his humorous opening to the movie.
Featuring a hilariously awkward exchange between Wolverine and Mister Fantastic, we certainly wouldn't say no to seeing this in the MCU.
However, while the Fantastic Four will have joined this shared world by the time Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is released, we don't anticipate seeing the X-Men until after Avengers: Secret Wars. They might factor into that movie, though it seems unlikely that the team will be shoehorned into a movie that's already going to be pretty jam-packed.
Eventually, Marvel's First Family probably will share the screen with the X-Men, but not in this saga. Speculation continues to run rampant that The Mutant Saga might be what's next for the MCU, so perhaps Secret Wars will end with many of Earth's Mightiest Heroes trapped elsewhere in the Multiverse? A whole saga featuring the X-Men would be a ballsy move.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Marvel Studios is only just beginning the casting process for Fantastic Four, but we're sure the next few months will deliver plenty of big rumours and reveals about where the MCU is heading.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to arrive in theaters on May 2, 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars, meanwhile, will follow on November 8, 2025.
