General feedback had Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/The Hulk emerging as the fan favorite member of The Avengers, and that's reflected here too. With a whopping 41.55% of the votes, the Green Goliath - funnily enough played by the only new face in the cast - came out on top. A distant second was the villain of the piece, Loki, with 1,114 Votes (15.25%) and coming third was Captain America with 989 Votes (13.54%). Nick Fury came last with 16 Votes (0.22%).

I feel like every character was represented and done better in this movie than they were in there independent ones, I think future directors could learn from this and take a lot from the Avengers and Whedon and implement it into future solo movies. Oh and Cap ftw

so happy a 'new' character was generally the most impressive, really moved the film away from being a direct sequel to any of the previous movies. Felt fresh. And yes I'm aware Hulk has had a movie but this is a whole new Hulk of course

No surprise here, hulk was a boss. Best film adaption ever! Plus, black widow turned out to be a badass in the film, as well.

I loved The Hulk like everybody else but the more I think about it Captain America was F'n awesome! He really reminded me of Ultimate Cap when he kicked Hank Pym's ass. His fighting style really evolved from The First Avenger to The Avengers.

I loved all the characters so much more than I expected to: especially Hulk, Hawkeye and Widow. Widow was way more developed than I ever thought the character could be, and while some of the stuff with Hawkeye seemed a bit forced toward the beginning, I loved how it gave him a motive to join the team, and Renner portrayed the outsider, sniper mentality perfectly. I'm not sure if the character is like that as much in the comics since I don't read them very often, but if he is then I guess I should start reading the ones with him in them a bit more often.

They were all great the actors that played them made each character very likeable. If I had to choose, here's how my list would go:

1) Thor
2) Captain America
3) Hulk
4) Iron Man
5) Black Widow
6) Hawkeye
7) Nick Fury
8) Maria Hill
9) Agent Coulson

Top 4 was really hard to choose.

My bad forgot all about Loki put him in front of Hill at #8. It's not that I didn't like Tom Hiddleston its just that I'm the type of person who usually likes the heroes more than the villains.

I agree that even though mostly CG, the Hulk was the best part of the Avengers. Banner's acting meh. Really surprises Thor was so low on the list, he owned. Overall great movie, can't wait for the sequel. Hopefully with a few new introduced characters like Antman, Dr Strange, Black Panther or Vision.
