BATGIRL Directors Seemingly Confirm That Batman WILL Appear In The Movie

Despite reports to the contrary, it seems Bruce Wayne/Batman might just make his presence felt in the upcoming HBO Max Batgirl movie after all.

During an interview with Dutch radio station VRTNWS, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were asked "which Batman" would feature in their film. While they didn't name any actors, reports indicate that the filmmakers laughed and responded, "the real one."

There's been some discussion about the translation (some seem to feel Arbi and Fallah were simply joking around), but this would appear to confirm that some version of the Dark Knight will factor into the movie. Who the "real one" is is obviously up for debate - are they referring to Robert Pattinson's current incarnation, for example, or are they more likely to be talking about the original big-screen Caped Crusader, Michael Keaton?

Recently, Batgirl herself, Leslie Grace, indicated that Batman won't have anything to do with Barbara Gordon's first solo feature, which obviously has to be taken into account. Of course, there's a chance she was simply trying to keep things under wraps for fear of spoiling the surprise.

Loki composer Natalie Holt announced that she's signed on to work on Batgirl's score last month. Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script. J.K. Simmons is reportedly in talks to reprise the role of Babs' father, Jim Gordon, but his involvement is yet to be made official.

What do you guys make of these comments? If anyone happens to speak Dutch, feel free to offer your own take!
