BATGIRL: First Look At Star Leslie Grace On The Set Of The HBO Max Movie Revealed

Batgirl officially commenced production back in November, and we finally have a first look at some photos from the Glasgow, Scotland set of the HBO Max series. While most of the shots feature the surrounding buildings, one snap gives us a glimpse of star Leslie Grace.

The In The Heights actress is not suited up as Batgirl here, but she is wearing a GCPD t-shirt/hoody, which suggests that she is in-costume as Officer Barbara Gordon. You may also notice that Grace's is sporting dyed red hair.

You can check out one of the photos below, but be sure to head on over to GlasgowLive.co.UK for more.

Batgirl will also star J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, and Jacob Scipio and Brendan Fraser in undisclosed roles (the latter is believed to be playing the villainous Firefly). It's also been confirmed that Michael Keaton's Batman will appear.

Loki composer Natalie Holt recently announced that she's signed on to work on the movie's score, while Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script.

The HBO Max movie is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. No release date has been announced.

I wonder what tone they wanna go for? Is this gonna be similar to Hawkeye with a fun young female type with darker elements, or is this like a super serious Batman type show?

I just feel like there's no point in this show. We're getting Keaton as a mentor or Keaton as the new universe (main timeline) batman? We even have The Snyderverse Jim Gordon returning but Affleck is out? It may actually be a great series but continuity wise I'm just wondering where it's going to fit in?

I'm a bit confused of the timeline / universe this movie sits in.

J.K. Simmons as Gordon must mean it's set in the DC shared universe but Keaton's Batman will appear. I'm guessing that Keaton's Batman is pulled into this universe / timeline in The Flash movie and must be sticking around then?

@WakandaTech -
Just keep The Batman and erase everything else on your list and your statement would be 100% true.

@WakandaTech - is Batgirl confirmed for this year? Rather just have them release it early next year on the big screen
