Earlier today, photos from the Glasgow set of Batgirl gave us a first look at star Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon, and some intriguing new snaps have now been shared online.

These photos show a mural featuring Batman and Robin, seemingly confirming that The Boy Wonder is indeed part of the DCEU. We know that an incarnation of the character existed in the "SnyderVerse" before being killed by The Joker, but this is almost certainly supposed to be a different version of the Dark Knight's young sidekick.

Does this mean Robin will actually feature in the movie? We haven't heard any rumors to suggest as much, but we know Michael Keaton's take on Batman will appear, so it's certainly possible.

Batgirl will also star J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, and Jacob Scipio and Brendan Fraser in undisclosed roles (the latter is believed to be playing the villainous Firefly).

Loki composer Natalie Holt recently announced that she's signed on to work on the movie's score, while Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script.

The HBO Max movie is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. No release date has been announced.

@dragon316 - ...this mural is in the DC movie universe representing a real person (to the people in that universe). This is not the same thing at all to changes from comics to film.

If it’s Keaton then shouldn’t Robin be black?

Shazam is confirmed to be in the DCEU too, but just like that movie, I doubt anything will amount from it.

I get its just a mural, but that it a pretty great looking Batman. If it's Keaton, it looks like he doesn't have turn his entire upper body to look around.

And I do hope Dick Grayson (Dylan O'Brien?) is part of this too. As Robin in flashbacks, and as Nightwing in the present.

How is the action in Bad Boys for Life. Do these guys know, what they are doing?
Anyway, I am looking forward to it. Leslie Grace is such a warm, charming lady - I think she will be great.

They handled the villain well, that same actor appears in Batgirl too.

Batgirl can be a major blockbuster

Why is it on HBOmax ?

@WakandaTech - I really am not sure it is. To me it looks like some site (THR I think) speculated it, and other sites just ran with it without Hamada or WB saying it would

@WakandaTech - They always planned to have more content for HBO MAX and mentioned movies and shows.
This, GCPD, and the rumored Black Canary show are supposed to be a part of that plan.
